I booked a two-hour birthday photoshoot with Cranium LLC in December 2025, and the experience did…read morenot meet professional expectations. The photographer arrived more than thirty minutes late. The studio was unprepared and had not been cleaned prior to my session. Although I booked only two hours and did not request additional time, the shoot extended to nearly five hours due to excessive lighting adjustments (an issue noted in another review). This caused me to be significantly late to my birthday plans. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay, and when I raised the concern, the response was dismissive rather than professional. Communication was a consistent issue throughout the process. Prior to the shoot, messages went unanswered for several days. After full payment, communication again stopped for multiple days. Edited photos were delivered without acknowledgment or responses to follow-up messages. When I requested a correction to an edit that still showed a visible hole in my shirt, I did not receive a response for several days. A subsequent edit request received no response at all. The initial edited images were very dark. I did not receive lightened versions until nearly a month after the shoot. My headshots were taken against a dark background that caused my hair to blend in. Due to continued non-responsiveness, this issue was never resolved. Additional edited photos that I purchased were delivered after the stated seven-business-day deadline, with no explanation or acknowledgment of the delay. The photographer also double-booked my session. Another client arrived near the end of my shoot, and the final portion felt rushed. I did not receive all the shots I wanted for any of my styled outfits, including full-body shots that I specifically styled for and expected to receive. While some of the final edited photos turned out decent, the overall experience felt disorganized and dismissive of my time, lacking basic professional courtesy. Clients should also be aware of the following when working with Cranium LLC: * Edited photos may be delivered after the stated deadline without notice. * Communication may stop for extended periods after payment. * Only final retouched images are provided; unedited files or non-watermarked proofs are not released. * Additional photos must be purchased as retouched edits at $50 per image. * Gallery links may be deactivated once selections are made, despite the contract stating 30 days. * Full-body shots are not automatically included and should be explicitly requested in advance. Based on my experience, I recommend confirming expectations in writing regarding communication timelines, shot lists, angles, and image access. Based on this experience, I would not book with Cranium LLC again.

She just jumped right into some water without even thinking about it so that she could get a good shot. The photos are jaw droppingly good. She was super efficient with taking group photos, no matter how many people were involved. She wasn't afraid to boss people around but did so with humor. She has a real knack for bringing people's authentic selves to the surface for photos. I am never comfortable in front of a camera but I felt totally at ease and had a great time. Lucky for us, River loves to travel and explore new places and is able to work out a custom quote depending on where your wedding is located! River was with us all day, as we got ready. She went into downtown Philly with us before the wedding to get a ton of pictures and never made us feel rushed or pressured. She has this amazing magic for getting the perfect shots without taking a million photos. It's incredible. River captured so many amazing moments throughout the pre-ceremony time, ceremony time and the reception. She never stopped. She captured moments we did not see for ourselves as well as many that we will now remember forever. River's vision for amazing photographs is insanely amazing! She sees beauty all around her and can make things that I would never think of as beautiful into amazing pictures! I could not possibly recommend River more! I first called ahead to make the appointment and immediately had a great first impression by the customer service. I have absolutely no knowledge of how photography works and Mr. Acosta was very patient with clearly explaining all the different options and the price breakdowns. He also showed me examples of different shoots, portraits, and events he had done in the past and I was convinced that the quality of his work would be superb. It takes a special person to do either and Tress excels at both! These pictures are important to a mother for the obvious reasons that while she is present she is kind of busy doing important stuff.
