I received a phone call and visit to assess the issue later on the same day. Cornelius was professional, efficient, and provided helpful info. Short story: I had washed a load of older throw rugs, backing came off and totally compacted the intake and pump itself similar to a sand pile. Cornelius returned next day with the replacement pump part. The repair took less than 30 minutes and I was back in business catching up the laundry. (Verdict: Don't wash rugs in washer and risk having the backing coming off.) Also, side story: I had Cornelius look at my 2018 model GE stove and double oven combo while he was here, which went partially kaput after I had done a self-cleaning cycle. I figured the high heat had fried the appliance circuit board, but I'm no expert. He gave me an estimate for a repair which entailed replacement part, informed regarding the limited availability and high cost (no longer made) due to age of appliance, and also current comparable stoves to enable me to make the wisest decision for repair or replace.
