if you are considering a modular home, run away. fast and don't look back! They left our house on Rte 3 for months and made no effort to move it. When it was finally put on our foundation, there was damage. Front trim and drip edge is sloppy; facia is damaged, siding is broken, many areas not even nailed. Going on two years, it still hasn't been resolved. We were told that they would clean the interior prior to our move in. ---- Never happened! The response I get every time I call is, I'll reach out to Dale. They have other houses to set. Really!?!? Finish my house first! They make you pay in full prior to finishing. I could go on and on! I could go into details that they would try to explain away but I'm tired of hearing it. The most deceitful company I have ever dealt with hands down. They lie every time they speak.... for 6 months... we are still waiting for our house to be finished. What is here is horrible quality and not even what we ordered. It is unreal what they have put our family through. Our bank will not even do business with them again after this! **You have to pay in full before house is even set (when it arrives months late, after multiple lies)... good luck getting it finished. The home was delivered late November, didn't get set up until February and waiting for the Camelot contractors to finish. The communication between contractor, me and Camelot was horrible. Run! Don't deal with Camelot homes. They are liars and only tell you what you want to hear. (That's when you can get them to talk to you on the phone). My home was set on August 31st. Today is January 20th and I still have no idea about occupancy. We keep finding more things that aren't "up to code". The company doesn't want to hear about it, let alone resolve anything. Avoid Camelot at all costs. There is not a single part of the purchase and delivery process that went correctly. The business in general is lazy and dishonest; the salesperson who I dealt with, Gary Harbour, is a liar. The home, although it was already sitting on their lot, took several weeks to deliver. Once it was delivered, things were missing and, even though I have written proof that those things were to be included, they refuse to honor their commitment. My only option is to take them to small claims court, which would cost more than I could get from it. My advice: look around for a reputable dealer, because these people are crooks. read more

Please turn off your furnaces for 25 days while I search for a new furnace for your home while living in New Hampshire. Lets see how long your patience or even your spouses patience lasts while trying to getting your child out of bed and through the shower on a school morning when your house is only 58 degrees because that's all the electric heaters will keep it at when the temperature drops into the teens and single digits overnight. I don't know who to blame at this point but I do know 25 days without heat has put me at my wits end. I have tried to be patient through the sing song and a dance but now I want action. read more

Worst experience ever! No communication. I emailed the owner and all I got back was defending the people I had dealt with. I have been in my home for 2 years now. However, it was something that took way longer then it should have. I was able to intervene with a co worker who was considering going through Camelot homes and changed his mind. Its all headaches. From start to finish! (if you even have the patience to hold on to finish) The ONLY person who was a help, as much as she could was Cora Connolly, if she's even there anymore. I was told to get my deposit back and go to a business in Epsom. I wish I followed through! I made an appointment and emailed Gary and told him I'd be in the next day to take my deposit back. He told me that he'd get things moving (not his exact words) I was dumb and listened. I had started out with Anne, who ended up being out with medical issues, with either her or a family member. I understand that. However, being put on hold because I was told she was the only one that did a part of the purchase was ridiculous!! There was no back up for her until I wanted my deposit back. imagine that!! Please, stay away from Camelot Homes. I haven't a clue as to how they stay in business!!! read more

Dealing with Camelot homes center in Tilton NH has been the worst experience of our lives. We just recently bought and paid for a mobile home from them and we've been in it for three days. But we have numerous problems. We did the walk through but have found so many problems since then. We have contacted our sales person, Gary Harbour with hardly any response. We just want confirmation that these issues have been documented and ordered and some kind of update as to when this will be fixed. I have pleaded with Gary through email to just please get back to me, but again no response. I'm going to try and find the corporate office so I can report this if I don't hear anything after today. We've been treated like second class citizens throughout this whole process and we truly believe it's because we bought one of the lower cost homes. That it so unfair and I would recommend to anyone asking to never use Camelot homes. It's been a nightmare that won't end!!! read more

If you are looking for a poor quality house which takes triple the time to get and incompetent sales people, then this place is for you. If you love to be lied to, mislead and hearing excuse after excuse then you will love this place. If you love zero communication and broken promises then by all means buy a house from Camelot Homes. I saw in other reviews the owner of Camelot Homes wrote back stating "Our trained management and sales staff have many years of experience in all phases of manufactured and modular home construction, and our highly trained delivery and service staff gives you peace of mind knowing that your home will arrive safely and you will be given the best service provided.." What a joke! My salesman had no idea what he was doing at any given minute and the service staff did the bare minimum when setting up my house and they left a mess for me to clean up. If that is the owners idea of "the best service provided" then he is truly a misguided man. Bottom line STAY AWAY FROM CAMELOT HOMES!! read more

Buyer beware. We put our deposit down on a DT108 Beacon Colony on June 2nd last year. We were told repeatedly "6 to 8 weeks" for delivery. Then when 8 weeks came and went it was one excuse after another. Our phone conversations with our sales person always started with oh poor me my dog died my power went out...I'll find out and get back to you. Once the sale is made they do not have customer service skills whatsoever. Our house was finally delivered on November 2nd and sat on the slab (that we were warned to hurry up and get it ready, House could come at any time!). Then we had to wait six more weeks before they could set it up because we had ordered a 5 - 12 pitched roof - our house is in the white mountains, but they needed a special crew for it. Meantime we're paying for storage. Finally set up. We called Suburban propane to hook up the furnace and stove, but they couldn't get the furnace to work. The set up crew piped the exhaust wrong! Not to mention Lino floors with huge bubbles, fireplace mantel pulled off the wall because the wood frame is warped. Items that are not Camelot's fault, but they are responsible for contacting the manufacturer to arrange repairs. They don't follow up with you, you have to pester them to get anything done. Did I mention the fridge compressor was bent off it's base? It had been dropped. And the cracked sheet rock which Camelot is responsible for fixing, and that's not all. Lawyer and arbitration is now being involved. read more

I'm glad we didn't put down a deposit. We were thankful that several modifications were done without a deposit. We picked out what we wanted and loved it. However, we weren't sure if modular could be delivered down a dirt rd. So, we emailed Gary.... Nice guy, just needs to follow through with what he promises. Gary told us he would call crane guy and get him up to look at property in a day or two. In the meantime we were warned that there was a written proposal on property we wanted, which I relayed to Gary. About 1 week goes by, I email Gary and he said crane guy was going up next day. Busy holiday and all. Well, several more days go by no email. I called Devin at North Country Modular Homes he went up himself and checked out property, said it was good to go. He had an answer on crane delivery with in a day, good to go. I call realtor, property is under contract with someone else. I've been broken hearted, it was the perfect land. Gary was apologetic and wished us well after I told him I would take my business elsewhere. I'm so glad for these reviews, I didn't know about these at all.
