Personal training, fitness studio, fitness classes, an olympic size swimming pool, racket ball, karate for kids, water aerobics, a cafe' with beer that is served by the tap and fine wines to choose from and yummy food, I'm sure there is more, but this is what I rattled off at the top of my head. My membership that contains all these amenities costs me £35 a month. They have a strict cancellation policy in regards to their classes, if you don't cancel within a 24 hour period you get charged for the full price of the class and the spot that you reserved because people are breathing down the back of your neck to get the next slot and that penalty is £5.50 I believe but don't quote me. Service with a smile, I can't complain! The fitness instructors are also VERY easy on the eyes.

Everyone is always doing fun activities (ping pong, volleyball, tennis etc.) The feel of the park is so peaceful and calming. There's also an ice cream stand by one of the bridges and it's such a great place to throw a picnic with some friends. So many memories here anyone would love it.

Parking costs a £5 for the day and about half that if you're arriving after 5pm. It's free for National Trust members. Don't worry if you've forgotten your sticker, just show them your card at the gate and you'll be issued with a little paper ticket. There are at least 3 car parks I can think of off the top of my head. One right at the entrance, one near the lake and one by the cafe. I'd drive right in and stop by the cafe as it offers the most central location, allowing easy access to all parts of the forest. There are lots of trails, open fields as well as forested areas so a bit of everything. I saw quite a few signs of bushcraft so if you're into that then this is a great place to put in some shelter building practice.

Great to ride to and around on a bike, the cafe does a great range of homemade pies that really are worth the trip alone. There's numerous sturdy picnic benches that seat up to 8, and at easter/xmas that do a little treasure hunt for the young uns, which my lot love. Get down there pronto, but if you are going to drive, please have the decency to pay to enter the car park. For years there have been loads of people parking on the road and entering for free, so finally double yello lines have been painted on. Sad but necessary.

The club then sank out of the league and then made it back up into the league recently. Due to them being mortal rivals of my hometown Oxford, I'd give them a 2 or 3, but they play in orange and black, so I have to give them a 4. Plus they've made it back to the big time, so deserve credit for that. First-Hand Experience: I like Cambridge more than I should, since their stadium is just okay and their fan base isn't huge. I just love their colours and their overachieving history and what a rivalry they have with Oxford. I've seen them play a few times away from home, and I'm looking forward to seeing them at home soon. It'll be on my to do list for when I am in the UK for months next year. They were formed in the early 1900s and were known as Abbey United. Whether that is named for Titmuss or Wambauch, I have no idea. Knowing England, probably the former, although the latter is so much more important. As an aside, please move the review that is all about the stadium, to the stadium Yelp page which I'm about to create, since on Yelp every team across North America (and plenty of the British ones too) have pages for both the sports team and for the stadium. Stadiums never move, teams do. So they should be separate. Good luck to this old University team in the future. They came so close to getting to the Prem in 92 and made it to 2 FA Cup Quarter Finals in a row. Like the Irish would say, it was the magic of Dublin.

Maybe that is why the fans are the way they are, because they are used to so much better. I found them to be a bit arrogant. The toilets are the usual half time mess. Food wise, they don't have much but still contrive not to have enough people serving to be able to help the away fans during the 15 minutes of half time. Every other ground I have been to has been able to more than cope with the half time rush, so there's no excuse. The ground is a bracing walk from the station, but at least you can walk from the station! Price was OK for the level, I actually expected it to be slightly more due to the stadium.

Really fantastic.I have to say I think the band were worth more than a regional leisure centre - much more! Everyone got up and had a boogie in the Gordon Craig Theatre - the music was so fantastic. Interspersed with 1980s news items like The Archbishop of Canterbury chanting Charles' and Di's wedding vows and Thatcher announcing the invasion of the Falklands (I've been there twice for the day on a cruise ship!). Wonderful. I've also been here for a tour of the 1990s boyband 911 which I also won. The theatre area has a bar and a cafe and there are ashtrays outside the doors so it's easy to have a cigarette. Not very nice looking and in the middle of a concrete jungle but don't let the appearance of the place make you judge the quality of the shows inside.

The only con to this place as it can be a bit pricy for performances and workshops and you need to book early as places are full early especially pantomime performances with school trips.
