Being Canadian, I love shopping in the USA for food that we don't have in Canada. There's a Family Fare Supermarket there. Prices aren't all that great though. There's also a Kohl's, JC Penney, Jo-Ann, a shoe store and some other stores. Lots of free parking.

The second time I had occasion to go into the Dollar Tree looking for decaffeinated tea to drink in the evening but they didn't have any that was marked decaf. I bought a bag of popcorn and a carton of chicken broth instead. When I looked at the grocery store, Family Fare, I found some Constant Comment type decaffeinated tea which I hope I will like. I saw a Penney's store and a sporting goods store, even a Bed Bath & Beyond to my surprise. Across the road there's even a Walmart. The Marathon Gas station seems to be part of the center also and I think you can get money off on your gas if you shop at the Family Fare. I thought the gas price was pretty fair even without a discount. I had just researched gas prices on GasBuddy.com in the morning so I had a pretty good idea what the range was for this date.

There's a Dollarama, Metro, Rick's Outlet (which is a bargain store of miscellaneous items) and some other stores. There's also a Little Caesars and The Beer Store. I guess if you live close by and are running errands looking for specific items then it will do, but it is not a place to leisurely walk around looking for something interesting. A vendor in the electronics department was my first contact and though he wasn't a Walmart employee he approached and asked if I needed help as soon as I got that confused look on my face, and was very helpful. Because he wasn't a Walmart employee he was unable to answer a final question and directed me to the department manager who was clearly annoyed and only assisted me after I continued to press for assistance. As I continued wandering around the store while waiting for my wife I needed some assistance and encounter number three was initiated by a Walmart employee stocking shelves who went out of her way to walk me to my destination. My final contact came at checkout - self scan - where a very pleasant, friendly lady greeted me, assisted me and wished me a Happy New Year! The store was clean, well lit, lots of people working to keep the shelves stocked. Lots of parking, and the lot was well maintained despite 10+ inches of snow in the previous 48 hours. I've been in Walmart stores in many different states over the years, this one appears to be well managed and most people were helpful and friendly.

Over mother's day weekend, I was seeking items to hang a birdhouse and pot some plants and found that they had everything that I needed, plus baby chickens and some really neat books on canning. As the seasons changed and got significantly colder, we knew we were going to be needing gloves. My boyfriend found a pair of Carhartt gloves that fit him perfectly and were affordable for the quality, though I had less luck finding women's gloves that weren't fashion-forward, but durable and warm. When checking out, the cashier was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the gloves and if they would be having anymore coming in stock for me to purchase, which they did not. Overall, I would absolutely come back and shop here for any homestead-type needs that we may have.

I have never been so upset with a company that I have felt the need to "complain"…read more i ordered a Incense holder for my daughter for Christmas. I payed too have it shipped to me by the 23rd. The owner Janice also graciously payed the same amount "she says" to make sure it was delievered on time. The 23rd came and went, with no package arriving. I called on the 24th and talked to Janice and she told me there was nothing she could do until Monday, hopefully it would come. Monday the 28th came, still no package. I checked Online Tracking and the last scanned date was for the 18th. The package had not left Canada yet. I also called the post office, they told me the same, it had not moved and as a the receiver I could do nothing, the company would have to open an investigation. I called The store back, she told me the post office was not open that day, even though I had just got off the phone with them, and to call back tomorrow, Tuesday and she would refund my money, she was too "Busy" at the moment doing inventory. I also asked her if the post office should refund her and I both our money for paying to have it shipped by a certain date and not receiving it....she told me she was not going to pursue her $30 over a "small incense burner". Now, $30 may not be much to everyone, But to me and a lot of people paying an extra $30 on top of the purchase price of something is quite a bit, especially this time of the year, and this "small incense burner" that she referred too was the only gift that my daughter had her heart set on for Christmas... Tuesday the 28th, I call the store to get my refund like I was told too. She informed me that she went to the post office, my package was in transit and I should receive it by Friday, At that time if I wanted my money back I could return it and get my money back. So, I immediately called the post office, again. I was informed that the package still had no scans on it since the 18th and seven days later should in fact have many scans making its way to me. That there was no Friday date for delivery. It in fact is "lost". Again telling me the sender would have to be the one to open an investigation... The postal worker being in disbelief that a company would not automatically purse this or refund the money back....So Ultimately I was lied too by The store owner by her telling me it would be here by Friday, after refusing to refund me my money, after she said she would...So it is now the 29th of December, 7 days after the date i was supposed to receive my package. I have no package. I have no money back. I have been put off. I have been lied too. This to me, is not how a company should be ran. This is horrible customer service and the fact that it came from the owner, makes it that much worse. I have NEVER encountered such bad service from any company. I would highly advise anyone who wants to place an order from this company to think twice before they do. You may not get your item or your money back, like they have done to me. I hope no one else has to go through this. Especially another child who didn't get what they wanted for Christmas because of crappy customer service.
