My fiancé called boulevard cuts around 25 minutes before we got there. They are one of the few places open in this craziness right now. BUT don't bother going unless you are one of the guys personal clients. When my fiancé called he asked if they were open and a women picked up the phone and said yes and before my fiancé even had the chance to say thank you we're on our way, she hung up the phone. Then when we got there there was one car in their parking lot and when we walked in it was the barber and his client. He asked if we set an appointment and my fiancé said ugh no the girl said you guys were open. Then the barber said yah but I'm only taking my clients. Then he went on to say the girl left 15 minutes ago and she was waiting for us apparently. Well, my personal thought is if she was going home and waiting, she wouldn't of hung up the phone so fast before we can even tell her we're on our way. Then I stepped and asked, being 6 months pregnant I will admit my patience is thin with rude and abrupt people. I asked, can you squeeze him in by any chance please? He's a marine and needs his hair cut. He said, and I quote, "Nah, man I'm only taking MY personal clients." So then I got upset and asked do you know of any other place that's open? He said, "Nope, sorry." So my fiancé, he's a bit of pusher over and nicely said, "ah it's okay man, thanks." I on the other hand was not as nice I'll admit because I strongly believe I'm treat people the way you want to be treated... so I said, "Yah man, thanks." I understand things are really bad right now, I understand. I'm one of the people who got laid off in this messy situation. But we need to be nice to each other, especially if you are still in business, you should be more professional in general, and not be rude or unprofessional and turn away business in an unsavory rude way. My fiancé called Chop & Stach Vintage Barber. The girl was nicer and said they're open till 3 and had only one walk in, I'll save there review for their profile, but I recommend going there.

This last time the owner (Martin) of the shop who was cutting my hair messed up and instead of apologizing blamed me. When I first sat down I started to explain what I wanted for my haircut and he interrupted me and said "only the sides right now, we aren't doing the top yet" so I told him what I wanted from the sides as he was getting set up. By the way, during this interaction I was friendly and polite even when interrupted. Once he was done with the sides he just cut my bangs on his own without warning and I said "I wanted to keep my bangs. I've been growing them out." And he poked my chest and said, "I'm not a mind reader. You have to tell me these things. I don't know what you want if you don't tell me. Next time tell me." Had he just apologized, it would still have been disappointing but accidents happen and hair grows back, no big deal. Just own up and don't blame your customers let alone poke them. It was so bizarre to have someone talk down to me like it was my first time getting my hair cut instead of apologizing for not paying attention and messing up my hair (especially when I had already tried to explain what I wanted). I'll be looking for a new spot if anyone has any recs

We both got haircuts at the same time so I wasn't able to see what hairstyle he had chosen until we were both done. To my unpleasant surprise, he had chosen the "Edgar" style that all parents "love." It looked ridiculous and I absolutely hated it. Not the barbers fault, that's what my son chose. I let it slide and we made our way home. As I was driving I looked at my son through my rearview mirror and I couldn't help it and I started laughing. Don't worry, he didn't know i was laughing at him. I realized that as soon as he returned to school kids would make fun of him or he would get his ass beat. I stopped at the first barber which turned out to be CITRUS BARBER. I explained the situation to the gentleman (ART) working and he told me he had an appointment coming up but agreed to cut my son's hair. I had low expectations that my son's horrible hair could be fixed but boy was I surprised. Art did an amazing job. My son loved his haircut. At the end, I asked Art how much i owed him. Art said he understood my situation and said the haircut was on him. He even refused a tip. ART's service was above and beyond!!! Needless to say, he earned three new loyal customers today. I highly recommend this place. THANK YOU ART.
