My son has curly hair, longer on top and has had a hard time finding someone who can cut his hair. Mike always did a great job. I highly recommend him. He'll be hard to replace. Coworkers to the left and right of him are also really nice guys. Except douche canoe Dave in the back...I don't even know where to start. I originally reviewed but removed my review because Mike reached out to me said he had spoke to him about his behavior and to be mindful of his audience. I removed the review in good faith that he would exhibit more professionalism. I had been here about 3 times and 2/3 times, Dave's kids were there and he berated them for the full 45 minutes. Making them do pushups, threatening to slap them. Just gross behavior. I don't believe in gentle parenting and have two boys that I'm tough on, but public humiliation of your kids is just unacceptable especially in your place of business, in front of clients. So you ask why put the review back up? Because douche canoe Dave made a fart noise when we arrived. First I thought he farted then realized he made this noise with his foul pie hole. He did it again when we left. I don't know if he is blatantly rude and immature or if there is seriously something wrong with him neurologically. It's a shame he reproduced though....I'll pray for his poor kids. The fact that Mike (who I believe is the owner of this establishment) had spoke to him regarding his conduct and he continues with his unprofessional behavior speaks volumes about his integrity. Rather than make a scene and disrespect Mike I just left. I don't tolerate disrespect and I won't be returning. It's a shame because there are really talented barbers here but Dave is a stain on an otherwise stellar place of business.

He better be friggin Vidal Sassoon or something... Let my beezed head get ridiculous, called to see if they were busy. Luckily went in there were 4 barbers, 4 open chairs..they must do a round robin for the next clip. Another reason I dont like barbershops is when you get an interview from the barber as to who you are and what you do. Dude just concentrated on the cut, and one of the better ones I've had since my barber retired. In this case, it was just cool to hear the banter between the 4 youngish barbers, my barber was in the military and did a great job on the overgrown mess I walked in with. The area needed a good barbershop for a long time, this is it. Sorry, I don't give 5 stars unless I'm somehow amazed, but would recommend.

After reading the reviews of how customers felt uncomfortable with the unprofessional manner there, I searched for other options. This place came up with 5 stars so we gave it a try. There was a bit of a wait late on a Saturday morning, but they work pretty quickly. My son said the barber was friendly and he wanted to wait. On the outside it's clean and nothing fancy. Inside is clean and kept up (which is the most important). As for the job itself - it was his best haircut ever. He's very happy and said finally he got the cut he wanted - smooth and even all around (which has been a struggle in our experience). He listened to the request and delivered, all at the sweet price of $10 (half the price of the basic chain salon). I think we will be coming here for all our men's cuts now!

Often there are others in line in front of you, sitting and talking about current events. Bill is fast though and burns through the line. Just sit back and relax. I call a few businesses and no dice, but I call this place and Peter, the business owner, answers the phone. I tell him specifically that I need a beard trim and he tells me that they are not taking appointments over the phone but to go to his website. I tell him thanks but all I need is a beard trim and do you think there might be someone available for that. He says, I would need to make an appointment for the beard trim, but Jim is available at 1:30. Book it on the website. It's at 1:30. So I plan my whole day around this 1:30 slot, which is right in the middle of the day (on my vacation of which I could be doing other things) because he told me it was available. I leave my girlfriend to wait for me and get here...and as soon as I get here, Jim comes outside and says he can't trim my beard. Just around the sides of my mask. I tell him that Peter told me specifically that I could. Apparently Peter was standing right next to Him and Jim just looks at him. Peter, says excuse me? I repeated to him that he had told me to make an appointment for a trim on the website. He says, nope...no you didn't. Some now I'm angry. This guys wastes my time...and then lies about speaking to me on the phone. I tell him that he's wasted my time and he reiterates that it's not his decision...it's the governments. Why didn't he tell me that on the phone?? Instead I waste a whole day waiting around for an appointment that would never happen. Being from out of town (and having finally found the right barber in NYC) I was worried when it came time to get a trim, but THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! What I would like to see: *Hours posted (found that on their fb page) *Price posted (had no idea until it was time to pay. They do have an ATM inside which is good, but I had the cash, thankfully) Of course it's up to the kid where he likes to go - but I feel confident that we will return at least occasionally.
