it wasn't that late, but there was only what i assumed to be the manager present, there were no…read moreother employees present when we entered but they weren't closing for at least an hour. don't mind that at all, except for that when we started to browse the section that had the items we came to find, after asking if we needed help with sizing (to which we politely declined) we were then told immediately when i found a tag with the brand label that we wanted to get, that the area was "private" and the employee/owner (not sure which) offered to show us styles etc. which felt uncomfortable. my wife because was looking for a certain brand and a website said this shop had it in stock, which it did, which is why i'm giving two stars instead of one. i've been to plenty of nice or "high end" shops, and yes direct service is typical - if you're offered and accept it - but this wasn't a high end shop, it was a resale shop with nice quality brands (many of which were on sale). and usually, if you want to browse by yourself, you're allowed to, even in stores with expensive products. the entire section for undergarments was evidently private, so we left with nothing since we just wanted a typical shopping experience. maybe this is the kind of thing some women like when shopping, but not being permitted to browse on our own for intimate items felt strange.
