One thing I really miss is the banana chocolate chip cupcake. That cupcake was incredible, and I wish they would bring it back. It was one of the best flavors they ever had. I do think the menu leans too heavily into chocolate. There are two or three very similar chocolate cupcakes, which feels redundant. I would love to see more fruit flavors like strawberry, raspberry, other berry options, or a banana cupcake again. Variety would make an already great menu even better. That said, this is still my go-to cupcake place and one of the few true cupcake shops in Portland. I will always keep coming back.

The weekday I visited, after seeing someone on Instagram devouring several cookies, scones and muffins, they had all those items plus pinwheel pastries, biscuits, popovers, quiche, hotdogs in pasty, mini chocolate lava cakes, and tarts. Hard to choose! Especially when I no longer over indulge on sweets and pastries So I limited myself to just one item. Opted for the popover freshly filled with Bavarian creme upon ordering. The popover was light and airy, but it was the sweet, delicate Bavarian - or maybe French - creme that took it over the top! They need to be eaten there, not saved for another day. On weekends they also have frittatas and breakfast sandwiches which I love. lily coffee is also available. And they have a dish with day old items for $1.50. The only downside is the tiny parking lot shared by several other stores so it's always packed. I drive a tiny Smart car and still had to maneuver and do a few k-turns to get out safely.
