Doubles are so tasty! The owner Savi is the sweetest. Everything else is delicious too, but this time it was all about the Doubles! And we took some lovely buss up shot roti to go. We come back every time we are in town. read more

Had an amazing time Dining here!! We ordered 2 doubles (mild and spicy), boneless chicken w/ roti purie, Chana & potatoes AND beef stew with dhal and rice. If you can't take any heat the double is sweet and mild is a good place to start but the spicy one is where it's at. It has amazing heat and flavor (about a 3/5 if you are someone who can enjoy some scotch bonnet pepper) the boneless chicken was tender and juicy. The roti was perfectly prepped, nice and hot. The accidentally prepared me the bone in, which i think was dark meat and more of what i prefer, but the bones were too small for me to fight through and so glad they didn't mind fixing me a plate of boneless without any issues. The beef stew was my absolute fav. The flavor was delicious and it was very tender. The rice and sauce was seasoned very well and came with a side salad. The price is the best part. We order two drinks mango and hibiscus juice and they were also delicious. (The hibiscus juice had a hint of ginger in it that some could mistake for a spicy taste) Everything was amazing! Got to talking to the owners son, Kind folks that moved down from NY an about 3 years ago to bring some original love and relaxation to the neighborhood. The soca music was a vibe too. Very homey spot. I was recommended by a fellow Vet friend they seem to know very well and thankful for their amazing hospitality. Will definitely will be coming again many more times to try everything new. I was so excited to see they had pholorie but been craving Linda's eggball (i know it's Guyanese dish) I'm hoping one day i can have them make it for me one day bc i can't seem to find it anywhere else. The son said if someone ever possibly wanted catering for it to be done they would possibly try to do so, which would be amazing!!! Or maybe I'll just order some phorlorie and make my own eggs at home? I'll try them out next visit read more

Great service! JR at the front counter was polite and welcoming. His mom was as well! Came out from the back, spoke with us and made some great suggestions! We had Doubles, which was amazing. The 6 pack would've filled my wife and I up but we decided to just have one each as an app. Then we had veggie roti, also really good! Lastly we had fried rice and veggies. It was all so good! Can't wait to go back and try everything else! This spot will be in my regular rotation. Food was fresh, service was friendly. read more

Calypso Cuisine - Doubles - Caribbean Near Me - Fort Pierce, Florida

Very kind family owned business. If you like your food prepared a specific way be sure to specify with your order i.e. hot peppers, separate containers, etc. or you will just get it how it comes. Doubles are a bit sweeter than I'm used to but the roti is amazing every time. Overall this is one of the better restaurants in the area. read more

This place is a Trinidadian roti shop, I came here for the doubles and decided to try the curry chicken and roti. I must say the food is very flavorful and reminded me of my moms cooking. The service is friendly and there is a fair amount of tables to sit and eat. They do sell other Caribbean things like Chana and other snacks. I'd definitely return read more

As a vegan carrib family we love this place! We usually get the chickpea, mango curry, spinach and roti! & veggie aloo pie so yummy

Authentic, delicious, and cheap eats! What's not to like I recommend the doubles with curry chicken, pholouire and Saheenas

It was a pleasure to hear a Trini restaurant opening close to where I live. Took friends both American and Indians who never had our cuisine. They absolutely loved it all! I personally went back a couple times and so did my friends who then took some of their co workers (Americans). Now the reasons for my 3 star rating. First the doubles and pricing are a bit expensive compared to Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale (bigger cities). Secondly take time to explain to the non-trinis what our foods are and what all comes with it with pride and a smiling face and attitude. They are prospective long term customers with a great attitude. Maybe a bit of advice...pressure cook the goat and duck with all the seasonings and then bring to a pot and let simmer for a few. You'll feel, taste the difference in texture. Good luck and continued success in your future in Ft. Pierce. read more
