For annual check-ups, you see the nurse practitioner, who is efficient and seems fine (wasn't told in advance, or I probably would have rescheduled with another OB-GYN though). Dr Alawode's time is dedicated to his obstetrics practice. On the upside, time in the waiting room is usually less than 15 minutes, and his office staff is fairly efficient, although I often have to call back multiple times for a prescription refill or questions to be answered) Again, I have heard that Dr. Alawode's attentive and very personable, but not sure that the minor issues with the office staff and exclusively seeing the nurse practitioner are enough to justify going.

Not only does she use her education to treat her patients, but she also adds her knowledge and wisdom of over 40 years of experience. I love Dr. Mathews and so do all of her patients! She is a wonderful employer as well. She is empathetic, never has a bad thing to say about anybody for all years I have known this beautiful soul. I have had many patients tell me personally that Dr. Mathews has done for them what no other doctor has been able to do for them. This is because she is "old school" she actually uses charts. We are a paper office and she takes the charts home. She researches while putting symptoms, complaints etc. together like a puzzle. All of this is possible due to the support of her staff! Her sister Asha runs EVERYTHING and is amazing! I know NOBODY is perfect, but when it comes to Asha no lies she's not made one mistake since I've been working here! Asha and Dr. Mathews' minds are like elephants! They remember everything about ANY patient down to the detail!( where it is in a pile of charts with the same name!) Now granted I was 14 and this was in 1998. We didn't have Google etc. So things may have changed a…read morelot. I used to go to Dr. Roman & Dr. Spatz as a kid. I was always a rough and tumble girly. It wasn't until May of 98 I was in a major car wreck. Broke my back and bleeding internally. I was in the hospital for months then released. It wasn't till I got out and was walking did I realize my right leg was going numb. My mom took me once again to Dr. Rozran. He took x-rays and my spine had colasped inwards, like a c. The hospital sent me out with the wrong back brace and it collapsed it. He told me we had to do emergency surgery. I only wanted him. He made it work! Wished to the hospital. My mother told me "there was a power outage when I was in surgery. But the backup generators kicked on." Dr. Rozran put an H bar in my back with the help of a video call with a doctor from John Hopkins. My L3, L4, L5 collapsed and was a millimeter away from being paralyzed. Many years later I realized I don't remember if I ever thanked him. But because of him his quick thinking and technology i didn't know existed Im 42 yrs old and walking! Yes years later I had my son called elective surgery of the removal of the H bar. But thanks to him I could have a future as a normal teen who loved soccer and lax. Thank you again Dr. Roman and Dr. Spatz for everything you gave me! My ability to walk and to taken on this challenge Dr. Rozran.

Until today, I have had five star experiences at Alexandria Allergy and Asthma…read more I have a five year old daughter who gets weekly immunotherapy, which I might add is pretty traumatic for her, but I also have to take my three year old with me as my husband works during the time of her appointments, so it's just me and me alone making sure we get my daughters TERRIBLE allergies under control! Today, the "office manager" sought me out to to tell me how "she's been lenient with me allowing me to even bring my other daughter into the office for the appointment since she isn't the actual patient" and that if I didn't force my JUST turned three year old to wear a mask, "she needed to wait in the parking lot" or that "I should find a daycare for an hour and drop her off". At this point I felt personally attacked by this woman, as my only other interaction with her was her telling me to not bring my child into the office! I have no one else besides my working husband who can help me with my children. I've also tried to have her wear a mask, but she begins playing with it, by touching it and it becomes full of both dirt and saliva which seems 100 times worse than her not playing with her face at all! This "office manager" has made our experience here awful and uncomfortable! Not that it is any of her business, but the way she attacked me today as a mother ruined my day and now has me searching the internet for a new provider because the immunotherapy is a five year commitment that I now feel uncomfortable even going into the office for how I was treated! EVERYONE else at this office is wonderful and kind! In fact, the other office administrators know both of my daughters by name and greet them kindly each week, ask about their schooling and are overall very pleasant. I could also tell that the other employees were mortified by the way this woman acted! The two other patients in the office began consoling me because I was crying after being told to choose to either leave my three year old outside ALONE to wait in either my car or the VERY busy parking lost or my five year old ALONE to get her allergy shot. These same women in the waiting room came up to support me with my children and I was told multiple times that the way this "office manager" was acting was "unbelievable" and "uncalled for". I am so upset at this interaction and can't believe someone was having such a bad day decided it was her job to ruin both mine and my children's!

This guy/lady whatever he identifies as, should be behind bars or lose his license at the least. Terrible doctor. The office is what it is. Adminstrative and taking names, and money. I have been going to VMHS for 3 years and they care about their patients. They even have a healing dog during treatments. I really, really like my Therapist, Dr. Ann Byrant. Dr. Byrant has helped me to become the best me right now. I like her style of Structure & Unstructured therapeutic techniques, while still remaining professional and compassionate. The owners are friendly and always willing to listen even if you are not their client. Also, I'm very please with the Receptionist/Office Managers, Renee and the office staff are resourceful, friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The staff keeps the office running well... I am very happy that Dr. Vance & Dr Vance decided to open their practice in White Plains, MD. I highly recommend Dr. Bryant.
