Absolutely amazing Little Free Library. This is not one to be missed. If you are an avid reader,…read morethis is the location to visit. It is located on the church grounds, and within the Prayer and Meditation Gardens. The selection is fairly stretched out. A little of this, a little of that. It is a single shelf book box, but holds quite a bit. I had to reorganize it a bit to add to it. Take your book, leave a book and enjoy the grounds. Appreciate the scenery, the fountain, the seating and everything in between. This is a well loved community area. I recommend it to everyone. This snip-it is taken from a 2017 Valley Breeze article: "A third Little Free Library in Cumberland can be found at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway. Little Free Library #46,596 stands in Emmanuel Church's Prayer and Meditation Garden, adjacent to the church parking area. The small wooden box is filled with books that anyone may take, or bring one to add and share. "Our Little Free Library was built and given in memory of one of our parishioners," says the Rev. Joan Testin, rector of Emmanuel Church. "Mae was an avid reader, and some of her favorites are part of the initial stock in this library. Not only will visitors have the chance to enjoy some good books, but any who are interested can settle themselves on a bench and enjoy the tranquility of our meditation garden as they read." "

I don't go to church anywhere, actually, but I was here this past weekend for a performance a couple of family members were involved in. I've seen this church probably a thousand times in my life, but never gone in. Let me say, this place is HUGE and beautiful! I was actually awed at how amazing it was. The painted ceilings are wicked high and the whole place is ornately done with carvings and stained glass. If you're Catholic, live in central Mass, and are looking for a very large, picturesque church for a wedding, check this one out. Their website has some great pictures. Sorry for not giving your house of worship 5 stars, God, but those pews were just too close together to accomodate the tall stature you blessed me with. Not very comfortable for us oversized individuals.

Fr. Peter was also very welcoming, and helped us get all the paperwork in order (which was complicated because we're from another parish). The music sounded amazing in such a spacious, reverberant venue. Overall we were extremely grateful to be welcomed into this beautiful parish for our wedding celebration- we hope to come back to visit!
