This is a place for everyone, respectfully which ever religion you do or do not believe in, you are welcome and can come take a seat to listen to uplifting positivity and come to many activities the church hosts. Note: Offerings are 100% Optional! No one is expected to give money for offering, this is completely optional! Only if you want to, and are able, you may give money in the offering. Every Sunday at least one speaker or pastor says guests and even church goers are not required to give donations. Especially guests are suggested NOT to put any money in, to just keep passing the offering bag along. This church is very generous. The church is also very active in the community and very up to date in their social media. Their weekly pamphlets are full of activities for anyone to participate in! Calvary Chapel gives to the homeless, the needy, local events, far away events, trips and missionaries, for the sponsoring of an amazing radio station 107.9 FM www.KWVE.com (K Wave), their website www.calvarychapel.org (where you can listen and watch church services go live, and to spread more love and uplifting messages wherever you are. Gifts from the church: 1. Bible You can get a free bible after any church service. You may even ask a staff member to give you one from the church and they are happy to help you. 2. Groceries If you go to church regularly and are struggling, you may get free food on Sunday's after the 2nd service. 3. Freebies on the tables before parking lot. There are often free flowers, bread, and/or fruits on the outside tables for anyone. At some of the tables nearby church staff or volunteers show current events or activities that anyone can join. There is a gorgeous gift shop, a couple of vending machines, and a table set up indoors to sell donuts, coffee, sandwiches, and 1 Sunday a week they are selling tamales. (I forgot if it was 1st or 3rd). There are different groups or activities to help certain categories you may join if applicable: youth, children, married couple, single, military, grief, parents, single mothers, pregnancy, miscarriage/abortion, divorced, women's ministry, men's ministry, and food, volunteer, baking, art, knitting and crochet, and more (some groups/ activities above may have changed or may not be most accurate but the church does help in most if not all categories). Different seating options! 1. Main: the biggest seating option. Three big rows like a Theatre that hosts plays. *no food or beverages allowed in this room. 2. Family Sanctuary room: where people with young babies or louder young children can feel more comfortable listening to the service in this room. You may also sit here if you like to sit at a table with chairs *Food and beverages are allowed in this room! There is also a 2 more children/ babies rooms but I'm unfamiliar with them. I believe with a youth bible study class/service. 3. Hallway Next to the restroom and water fountain. (This is also where the line used to be for the free groceries). 4. ¡Servicio de iglesia en Español! Disponible en el piso de arriba. (Church service in Spanish. Available upstairs). Staff is often very helpful. The Pastors are very humble! I always enjoyed Pastor Mike and Pastor Dan speaking. You can tell it is Pastor Mike by his voice right away. Many of the Pastors have current and relatable events to the current reading in scripture to keep us engaged. There are funny jokes as well sometimes! When I spoke with Pastor Dan and Pastor TK you can tell they are speaking with loving and good intentions to give to God, to the people, to churches, to strangers, to anyone who crosses their path, they do their best for others. People open the door for you and greet you kindly, nod or smile at you. This is a place of peace and love. You can come here to get a positive, uplifting message that is applicable to your life if you apply it. You can enjoy loving company of the church community. You can be yourself to thrive to become better version of yourself, and help others along the way. Everyone is loved, valued, and welcome!

Great church, Bible believing, Bible teaching, Bible breathing church! This community is centered on discipleship and loving others. All the leadership and Pastors are extremely approachable and trustworthy. Great church to bring your whole family and sit with your kids and worship together throughout service.

We were in the area for the day and really enjoyed the service. Worship was inspiring and the sermon was notes worthy. The bookstore is getting ready to be renovated...so Bibles are 50% off and everything else is 60%! Really glad we came here.

Calvary is the best church around. Preaching directly from the Bible (God's Word) can't be wrong.

Two words: CHRIS BROWN…read more No, not the rapper :) I wish this were our home church but we live all the way up in north OC. But to hear this man preach, we make the 71-mile trek every couple months and it's always worth it. Not only is he a master story-teller and super engaging and funny and all the characteristics of an effective speaker, but most importantly he is faithful to the text--he does his research and draws out details that have often gone overlooked by even seasoned students of Scripture, and delivers God's word, neither in a "seeker-friendly" manner, nor in an academic tone as if to seminary students, but rather to the soul that simply needs more Jesus (that's everyone) in no matter what stage of their Christian walk. And I love how he doesn't assume everyone in the audience is a "seasoned' Christian or even saved in the first place. He doesn't even assume you know how to navigate the Bible as he guides you how to flip to book/chapter he is preaching out of. His messages will make your eyes water and fire you up at the same time. Get ready to open the floodgates (your tear ducts ) He's helped me with my walk for years now, whether I listen online or in person. Finally the music during the service is awesome. Being a musician and having played for several worship teams over the years, I don't mean that lightly. Their play a variety of worship songs, including contemporary , oldies but goodies, AND original songs they've written themselves! --which are both easy to sing and gospel-centered at the same time.

Wow, nice campus. Things for the kids to do too. That's cool…read more The sermon got weird though. Jews murdering Jesus on Easter...demon worship going on for anyone not worshipping to the exact pastors standards... that kind of thing. "Coexist? Not on my watch!" Which is a bit weird. Wasn't all bad but felt a bit like a high pressure sales situation, not a feel good kind of thing.

I attended a couple groups here and use to go on Sundays for worship. I have a personal situation…read morethat is ongoing but a couple weeks ago it caused me to have a lot of depression and I desperately needed help from a deliverance team. A helpful and kind woman named Norma gave me the contact information to the leader of the deliverance ministry. I told that person how depressed I was feeling but let them know that I was not going to hurt myself I just really needed help. She prayed with me and told me that she would schedule an appointment with me after getting with the Pastor first. After a few days of not hearing anything I reached back out again. She said that she was still waiting to hear from her Pastor and that she would let me know by 5pm. That night around 7:30pm the police show up at my door saying that the church reported me and was worried I would hurt myself. This is five days after my conversation with this woman and her team. Two weeks later and still no one has reached out willing to help me with deliverance. When I attempted to address it they did not take responsibility nor were they accountable for the lack of help they offered. I ended up having to drive down to San Diego and found a brilliant ministry called Rebuilt Ruins Ministry, which I thank God for. If anyone needs deliverance or is having depression, please do not go to or call this church. You won't receive the help you need. I also do not feel that the worship is spirit filled, so if you're looking for an awesome worship experience I would not come here for that either. I will say they have a good Life Recovery Group held on Thursdays at 6:30PM.

Pastor Hal went into great depth using the Bible and has an easy way of explaining things. He interacts with the congregation while preaching and holds your attention throughout. There appear to be many different activities the church does together during the week. Newcomers are warmly welcomed and given a gift. The pastor greets people at the door with a warm welcome. I'm new to the area and have visited a few churches. He's the only one I've seen do this and it was nice. Praise and Worship was powerful and beautiful. What I didn't like...Pastor Hal made a derogatory comment about people being fat and "from the looks of it, some of you need weight watchers." I was shocked! I couldn't believe he would say such an unkind thing. Comments like that can be incredibly harmful and hurtful. As someone who's battled an eating disorder I found it mean. I tried to take my concerns to him personally but was told he doesn't accept calls. I had to email. This proved to be futile as he stood his ground, further trying to support his position. At no time did he apologize for his unkind words. Barring the 'you're all fat' comments, I would have loved to attend again. However, I can't support FATISM. I don't tolerate isms from anyone. Jesus loves all people whether they be fat or not. Pastor Hal just hasn't received that message yet. This is an 99.999% white church. My family did not feel comfortable visiting as no one looks like them. If you're Beautifully Black you won't find anyone who looks like you. Southern California has the highest population of Deaf and HOH people in the country yet New Song does not have sign language interpreters. I don't recommend this church unless you're very, very thin and white.
