The Holy Spirit is fully alive and felt in this church. Pastor Mathews teachings are Bible based and spot on as he applies them to real life today. He and Sabrina are really tuned in to help with everyday life and teach how the holy spirit can be a real part of solutions in any situation if you pray and ask. In a short time, I experienced answers from God and holy spirit and many blessed outcomes. I have been amazed at results. I only expected help from your church because I was lead to believe I would receive it from many leaders. However I was not delivered this in any way. So everyone who passed me around saying this next person would help and provide resources and so on did nothing. This is lying. This conceptualizes living in sin unrepentantly. My update calling out this church for continuing to ignore me has vanished. Your churches website claims every person matters, that the next generation is valued, and so is generosity. That this church isn't a consumer but a giver. But I didn't matter, nor my unborn child and I was given false promises. Viewing yelps guidelines: they use AI to remove reviews, only remove reviews under the conditions they are "false, defamatory or are threatening." Had to go through customer service to get this exact review back up. I called you into accountability. It's not my fault you are threatened by accounting for the wrongdoing here in my situation when no threat was made whatsoever. I'm just left wondering why I'm worth ignoring still? Why was seeking help wrong? If something was false why couldn't it be confronted in response to my review so everyone can see what wasn't "true?" This business operates out of personal gain and lacks professionalism overall in dealing with their congregation. I regret ever going to this church. Like I said, you "leaders" should be ashamed of the way business is conducted here. No accountability, even on yelp despite claiming serving the community. My review is honest and raw, yes. I never blamed this church for my circumstance, I called out the lack of resources despite many people saying they would be provided and flat out ignoring me. It is worth acknowledging. I did nothing to be treated so unforgiving. I rebuke each and every one of you for your manna chasing ways. Repentance is needed. read more

Having grown up in the church my whole life, there is something truly special about Grace. My husband and I have been attending for over 2 years now and cannot comprehend how much this church has blessed us. We have been discipled, have built incredible community and friendships, and have been called higher than we ever anticipated. Pastor Matthew and Sabrina value all people. They can be seen greeting and chatting with new guests and regular attendees before and after service. They have a heart like Jesus-to see the lost and broken, and to find the greatest treasure: Jesus! After attending this church for the past 1.5 years, I've grown to love the community and friendships I've gained from Grace. I appreciate the authenticity of the pastors who are some of the realest and most caring people I've ever encountered. They are determined to preach the bold Word of God, without sugarcoating scripture. It was easy for my wife and I to get connected right away and feel so welcomed from the first day we visited. To pre-face this review, I had been attending Grace Church for about 7 years. Yes, you can find fellowship & friendship here, as well as support/support groups, motivation, etc. The people who attend here are always willing to extend a helping hand and uplift you. This Church helps the community, supports orphanages, helps single mothers, the homeless, so on and so forth. The music/worship is great and moving. They have a live band/singers with concert level visuals and audio. The Pastors are down to earth, approachable and always willing to lend an ear, I believe they truly mean well. Sounds like a great place huh? so why the 1 star review you ask? Well to answer your question, it's the teachings & theology presented here, this church is fraught with Galatian error. Firstly, this is an institutional Church, part of a bigger organization known as "Grace International". This is a: Lordship Salvation Repent of Your Sins "Get Right with God" Pick Up Your Cross Type of Church. The (Main) Pastor will preach that you are saved by Grace through Faith as indicated in Ephesians 2:8-9, which is correct, but in the same breath will back load works for salvation, i.e... "Repent of Your Sins", "Make Jesus Lord of Your Life". There is no clear distinction here between Salvation & Discipleship, it's all mixed into one (Faith & works). Essentially saying you are condemned by the law before God but to be saved you must follow the law. Anything aside from just believing is works (Romans 4:5) Speaking of Believing... The Pastor of this Church has claimed it is not enough to Believe because as he put it "Even the Demons Believe" (James 2:19) which is a clear indication of false/erroneous teaching. Yes, the demons believe (obviously) they were in heaven and saw/know the power of God firsthand, the thing is they cannot believe unto salvation. We CAN because Jesus died for us so that we can have salvation through HIM and Him ALONE, he did not do so for the demons. The Pastor completely butchered Acts 16:30-31 during one sermon: "and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house" Instead replaced Believe with "Repent & be Baptized" On the topic of Repentance... I honestly thought The Pastor had a breakthrough, as he mentioned in one sermon the definition of repentance. Repent stems from the Greek word "metanoeō" which simply means "to change one's mind". To repent is to go from not trusting in God (Jesus) for salvation to trusting in God (Jesus) for salvation (Changing Your mind), going from unbelief to belief. Yet, he still insists that you "repent of your sins" when doing the altar call at the end of every sermon. Repenting of your sins will not save you. In the original Hebrew & Greek, nowhere is the phrase "Repent of your Sins" found in the Bible. Nothing you can do aside from believing the gospel will save you, which brings me to.... Lordship Salvation... This stems from a complete misunderstanding of Romans 10:9-10. To be clear Jesus is Lord weather you "make" him Lord of your life or not. HE is Lord of everything, period. Not even Jesus Himself said you need to make Him Lord of your life to be Saved. The Pastor however, very arrogantly stated during a sermon "you cannot be saved unless you make Jesus Lord of your life" In Romans 10:9-10, to confess stems from the Greek word "homologeó" which simply means to acknowledge, meaning to acknowledge (confess) you are saved through Jesus Alone. Same thing when it comes to "confessing" your sins, it doesn't mean to confess every one of your sins, just to simply acknowledge (confess) you are a sinner. Additionally, to "confess" (Acknowledge) Doesn't mean you have to do it publicly either to be Saved. If that were the case, then no mute person can be saved. In conclusion... I have searched far and wide for a church who teaches the true Gospel of Salvation and does not teach Galatian error. I have had no luck. I have however found the aforementioned on YouTube. @SalvationIsEasy, @LouisScott, @dorsalplum (VR Grace Christian Community) to name a few. If you would like to be saved do the one thing God has asked of you to do, (The only thing you can do) which is to BELIEVE the Gospel as clearly outlined in I Corinthians 15: 1-4. To believe the record presented by God of his son. Right there in the quietness of your mind & heart just believe that your salvation depends on Jesus. On Him & Him ALONE, nothing added. That He died to pay for your sins, that He was buried and rose again on the third day. I hope this helps someone. In the end what good is a Church if they can't get Salvation right? There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth indeed. read more

Where do I even start? I've been going to grace for 7 years now and wow the ways I have been able to grow in every aspect. Grace is the place I call home where I've made so many memories. I was looking for a reason to comeback to church and I was invited here. Pastor Matthew definitely reflects the love of Jesus. Welcoming everyone, I mean everyone with open arms. I struggled finding a place for the longest time because of the things that I have been through especially being a young single teen mom. First question was how are you? I felt my heart melt. They have so many amazing small groups where you feel understood and fed by the word also being able to make new friendships with along support. My son loves his class and has grown his love for God. Grace is the place where I feel, loved, happy, accepted, cared for and seen not only myself but my son. This is the place I go to where I feel safe and where I serve the place that serves my community! read more

The pastor is obviously a conservative and his sermons are about politics. He starts the sermon telling everyone to vote. He gives them a website to download about voting and recommends a couple of books that are biased towards conservatism. He ended the sermon, warning, young people to not become socialist. It was an awful experience for me and I'll never go back. I certainly don't think Jesus would approve. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for about 9 years and we LOVE IT!! We both came from different denominations (seventh day adventist and catholic) and we weren't sure where we would land. We started coming to Grace and have seen our lives DRAMATICALLY change! You truly do feel the presence of God, which is amazing. Pastor Matthew goes straight to the bible every week and doesn't steer away from the issues of today that most wouldn't talk about. We also have 2 daughters and they LOVE the kids classrooms. You will grow closer to Jesus, you will make amazing friends, find incredible community and a place to belong! My son and I went there and we were not impressed at all for a few reasons the service the message was boring and not inspiring and they were pushy about the offering and no coffee or water not super friendly either we were pretty much ignored . I was blessed enough to visit Grace North County over the weekend as I am church shopping. My first impression was great. We were quickly greeted upon walking in for the 9am service. Friendly is very good. We found some seats and shortly thereafter, the praise band came out. They were very energetic and everyone had good voices. The songs went on for about 10-12 minutes. Very contemporary feel. The congregation seemed very diverse which I like to see in a church. There was a quick update on upcoming events, a reading of a passage, and a call to prayer for anyone needing prayer. There were even people up front to pray with someone if needed. I thought that was very nice. When it was time for collection, there was no pressure to donate. One of the Pastors, Shawn, had a nice talk about having faith in giving. Pastor Steve then took proceeded with the sermon for the day. He has a good style of teaching mixing Biblical passages and knowledge with humor and well thought out points. I very much enjoyed the service. At the end there was an opportunity to take Jesus in as Lord and Savior without singling out anyone that wanted to do so. A free CD was also available with information on becoming a new Christian. Tip: Bring your own Bible. I forgot to bring mine. This church is definitely on my list of ones that I would feel comfortable visiting again for more worship. read more

Grace church is a wonder and beautiful church. My wife and I are lucky enough to be able to have our daughter attend the preschool there called "Kidz World Academy" and she absolutely loves her school. This church is filled with the kindest people I've met in a long time. One of the many things I love about Grace Church is that every time I go there I feel comfortable and never once have felt judged. I have gone to church in dress clothes and I have gone in my pajamas and it never made a difference to anyone they were just glad we were there. Pastor Mathew and his wife Sabrina are awesome and really have a special gift for helping make sense out of life's many complicated situations based on the Word of God . My wife and I stumbled on Grace Church a year ago, August. I'm a Catholic and she is not. We were both struggling with how we could share our faith and belief in a church that really gets the word of God. She asked me one Sunday after we have been to Mass if we had to go the Catholic church. I responded that we can attend any church that believes in Jesus and that he died for our sins and also believes in the word of God. She pointed to Grace as we were heading south on El Camino Real. We have been so blessed with this "House of God". Grace church and it's pastoral community truly believe in how we can all apply the word of God in our daily lives. You have to come and experience every service, both Sunday and Wednesday to understand, that each service seems to resonate with each and every one of us and how we can apply the word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. Grace is not about telling you how rosy life is. Grace is about the reality that our lives have ups and downs, however, if we each apply what is in the word to our lives, we can make it through the calamity and chaos that our world presents us with. And let me tell you the first service we went to I was in tears. It was just like home. Everyone was very welcoming. The service was amazing. Grace Church is amazing! The worship was so lively, and Pastor Matthew's preaching is as good as it gets. They have an awesome kids service, youth service... it's a place for the whole family. They also have a Spanish service, with Pastor Jaime... so good! We had been looking for a church home and we found it at Grace. We also love Grace San Marcos church at their other campus, Pastor Brian is the worship leader as well as the Pastor. Our family is privileged to be part of this church. The foundation of this church is prayer. The teaching is so simple to understand yet very practical and shaping us to be good christians and followers of Christ. Grace Church is a great place to be if you want to fellowship and hear preaching straight from the Word of God. This Church has a great kids ministry (Xreme kids) and youth ministry (The Anthem). The pastors are always looking to meet and welcome the new comers and they even have a new comers class!
