Life Church is relational, not religious. First off, the presence of God is overwhelmingly powerful, tangible and easily sensed here. God's movement in Life Church is persistently evident through the numerous life changing testimonies of those who attend. Addicts fully recovered, the sick are healed, relationships and families restored, sinners completely set free, kids and youth learn and believe, businesses and finances prosper- the lost are found, and the found are taught. Judge them by their fruit, or come see for yourself. Their worship is truly amazing and led by the Holy Spirit. The worship team is gifted and they steward their gifts well. The music is a mix of modern Christian and contemporary gospel that is upbeat, inspiring, intimate and spontaneous, true worship of God and His son Jesus. Pastor Mark and the entire pastoral staff are truly diligent in study and in walk- sermons are biblical, truthful, and full of God inspired revelations that impact your life. I especially love how the teachings are organized into a series and are presented clearly. Don't be surprised if you find yourself laughing mid sermon either... (fun at church)!? The congregation is full of loving and accepting people who genuinely love the Lord and love people. There is a staffed nursery, kids classes, youth groups, young adults, and life groups for every category, age, and season of life. There is Life Bible College for those called to serve and are hungry for higher education. They have an app for staying connected, archives of previous teachings, digital giving and more. Life Church live-streams on Facebook and YouTube and is active on Instagram making it easy to stay connected and be fed while away. I have searched for a church like this where I am stationed... We loved the deeply well-thought and theological sermons, as well as the charisma and sense of humor of Pastor Henry. We also appreciated that they didn't come on too strong when it came to getting connected, as this had been a problem at a previous church we had tried to attend. We have enjoyed our time at TMC, and we both have participated in various ministries. However, there are a couple problems that are unfortunately leading us to find a new home church. For one, while all of the sermons preach on internal transformation, there are a lot of topics that we believe still need to be discussed in the church that TMC doesn't touch on. These include topics like homosexuality, politics, abortion, etc. Obviously, these are the more "controversial" topics in Christianity, which we feel is the reason why TMC doesn't touch on these. TMC is a very large church that obviously takes their business and outreach side very seriously. The only time we've heard Pastor Henry touch on any of these was when he brought up LGBTQ+ pastors and all he really had to say on it was something along the lines of "I personally don't agree with it". This is a problem because the Bible very clearly goes against LGBTQ+ pastors. It seems like they sacrifice talking about the controversial things in order to keep the business and outreach side in check, which my wife and I believe is never okay. We believe a church should touch on every biblical topic, both the pretty and the ugly. This really hit us point blank when we saw that they not only celebrate but actively promote halloween, and we're not just talking about "trunk or treat" (which has its own problems in and of itself). They have a "youth halloween party", even using the cross as a halloween decoration on their handout. My wife and I have found that it takes very minimal research to find out that halloween is not something followers of Christ should participate in. That's not to say that every Christian who does celebrate it is going to hell, but to have a whole church taking part in it just feels blatantly wrong, once again, sacrificing God's word and commandments for outreach. Due to these reasons, we are now looking for a new church, one that perhaps treats the Bible more authoritatively. We will always keep TMC in our thoughts and prayers.

So this time I yelped a Church and this church had great reviews. So we decided to attend, and I asked God to give me a sign while I was there that this would be the church for my son, and He did. Several signs. Most importantly, I felt the Holy Spirit there and the people are so loving. Once a month they do a lunch for the newcomers. It's like a meet and greet. So happened to be today while we were visiting. It was such a blessing to us. A security guard came up and told me that he watched me pick up the flower and told me to get it off. I felt violated that he would be so petty and just had a few mild words. Then he texted the main security guard who followed me around the auditorium when I went in. This man had angry tones, sat beside me and told me not to talk to him. I left to another part of the church and he stalked me with horrible stares. I moved four times. I finally left. I think many people are true blue in this church, but there should be no place in God's house for such hostility for someone just sitting in a chair. Overreactive security but also hateful projection from a staff member. Not over reacting. FOr real.

Stonehill Church has been our home church now for almost 5 years. We live in North Meridian, and have several churches near us, but travel 30 minutes each week to this wonderful church. Pastor Doug is the real deal and preaches from God's word in a way that speaks right to each of us each week. His wife Heather is there each week greeting members by name (incredible memory) and always is supportive and loving to each Stonehill member. We thought we would never be able to find a Church like the one we left in Orange County (Saddleback Church), but Stonehill reminds us of a young, growing Saddleback Church, which is always ready and willing to serve its members, help each of us grow in our faith, and serve the community. The Pastor is young with a beautiful wife and 4 kids. The pastor knows his bible and preaches with that knowledge and he tells stories that help relate it to my life. He pours out his heart with truth and honesty which is refreshing. I'm just trying to be the best me I can be and for me it is serving the Lord Jesus Christ. The worship team is also amazing. I'm glad there is no smoke machine or fancy light show. They focus on worshipping and humbling ourselves before God. Definitely a place to call home.

Staff and volunteers were coming up to us introducing themselves, and answering any questions we had. Most important is the pastor was unbelievable. My hubby and I prefer the type of services that connect every day life to the Bible, and that's just what he does.
