(Caveat: that's a Christian concert but aside from the words in the songs, the festive atmosphere makes this almost hard to notice!) Yes, GFC is a somewhat non-traditional congregation where Christian lyrics rather than hymns are sung, sermons are available for sale on tape, and the crowd of attendants genuinely enjoys the service. The pastors speak to topics that are very applicable to young people and tend to be on thought-provoking, moving material. Grace features a younger crowd than most traditional places of worship and offers numerous bonding activities for folks of all ages. The GFC community is friendly and really supportive of newcomers so if you're looking for a new church home, definitely check them out. To accommodate various schedules, GFC has services on Saturday nights as well as ~3 on Sunday mornings.

Not one person said Hello, Are you new, How are you? We felt so out of place and it felt uninviting to be there. Both of our sons are shy and none of the kids came up to them. Needless to say we left after only being there for an hour. Again no one spoke to us. Not a very warm feeling was had by any of us.

Fast forward to meeting a coworker who attended CCC and invited me to a service. This place is actually fun, has a live band and a great (and funny) pastor - not your typical dry, boring type. Everyone is very welcoming and kind! I have been a member since 2010 and can't wait for in person services to return to normal. They have a great children's program all the way up to high school.

The primary focus here is explicitly on image, branding, and driving up membership volume, completely at the expense of genuine human connection. If you want to be a faceless number filling a seat to satisfy their metrics, you'll fit right in. But if you are looking for a long-term, welcoming spiritual home, expect to be sorely disappointed. The internal culture is dictated by an exhausting demand for compliance, weaponized through a bizarre system of "invitation-only" small groups. Instead of fostering an open, supportive community, this structure breeds a toxic, cliquish high school environment. If you don't audition well enough, look the part, or play the social games required to get into these exclusive circles, you are immediately relegated to the periphery. It is deeply ironic that a church preaching community operates like a corporate franchise. If you value authenticity, emotional safety, and actual relational depth over a hyper-managed public image, look elsewhere.

Though the church is small in number they make up for it in sweet fellowship and love. This is an intimate atmosphere of fellow Christians who care about you, and their community. The Pastor is very Traditional. Preaches from Scripture only, Which is so refreshing. You would be hard pressed to find a more friendly, loving church that is Reformed in doctrine, that preaches Jesus sacrifice on the Cross because of His love for us, as well as how to live for Him.
