Do not use this funeral home! I was debating on posting this & even emailed the funeral home & gave…read morethem enough time to remedy this situation but it seems like the Winkley family does not care about performance, service or professionalism. All Faiths Funeral Home was extremely unprofessional on the day of my mom's services. The owner tried to give us crucifixes as an attempt to make up for the following situations, but it doesn't suffice. From the moment I walked in, I noticed that the funeral pamphlets were not on the table, despite prior discussions. When I mentioned this to Tonia, she replied that she had to pick up a "dead baby." This was not only unprofessional but made it seem as though my mother was not a priority. After the pamphlets were printed, they contained errors - the date of her passing was incorrect. I had to make several calls to the office, and after 45 minutes, they were reprinted. However, they were still wrong. We had requested the pallbearers to be listed instead of the internment information, and this was not done. Additionally, I struggled to find anyone to help with the TV and slideshow. Fortunately, I have some IT knowledge and was able to manage it myself, but once again, this was a service failure on their part. The casket emblems, which were supposed to be on the casket, were missing until I brought it to Tonia's attention. Even then, one of the emblems was incorrect. Moreover, the announcement upon my mother's entrance to the Funeral Home had her birthdate listed incorrectly. The final issue, which was perhaps the most concerning, was the leaking of embalming fluid. We were never notified about this issue, and if it was a problem that morning, as Tonia mentioned, we could have opted for a closed casket. Instead, we proceeded with an open casket, and several family members inquired about the embalming fluid. The lack of communication regarding this issue was extremely disappointing. I felt like I had to manage the entire funeral service myself, which was incredibly overwhelming during such an emotional time. I was unable to properly grieve because I had to constantly coordinate and address these issues. All Faiths Funeral Home had more than enough time to prepare, as my mother had passed three weeks before the services. The lack of professionalism demonstrated on one of the most vulnerable days of our lives is deeply upsetting. When we chose All Faiths Funeral Home, we were reassured by Tonia's sincerity and felt confident that we would receive the support and services necessary. We trusted her & All Faith's Funeral Home with our mother's care, and unfortunately, we were let down. Previously, the funeral home had a poor reputation due to legal issues, but with the new ownership and name, we were hopeful for a fresh start. Sadly, the unprofessionalism shown by Tonia and her staff on that day has shattered that confidence. It's difficult to imagine recommending this funeral home to anyone, given how my family and I were treated. It's disheartening to feel as though my mother was just another name or number on their books. If you truly care about your loved ones do not bring them here. Seems like Smith Manor only had its name changed to "All Faiths Funeral Home"...

When my Dad died, eight years ago, this Oakhurst funeral home did everything within their power to make a heartbreaking process as painless as possible. My Mom survived my Dad, but struggled with memory issues. We moved her in with us in San Jose to help her. Her care later advanced to a memory facility and, very recently, she too passed. Our policy, purchased in Oakhurst, we were assured, would be honored by a local affiliate. Unfortunately, when we I contacted the San Jose funeral home affiliated with Sierra Chapel, they dismissed the policy's mandate and did not honor the transfer. I was told that I would need to pay thousands more to accomplish what my parents had so thoughtfully laid out. Not knowing what else to do, I contacted Palm Memorial - Sierra Chapel. There I was assisted by first Lisa, and then Jack. They challenged the San Jose facility to honor our claim, and did not rest until they accomplished just that. They had nothing to gain from this, other than to help in our hour of need. I recommend Palm Memorial - Sierra Chapel without reservation. They work tirelessly and selflessly to make sure that the impossible task of putting a loved one to rest is met without any additional burden. They are kind, considerate, and upstanding. I will be forever grateful for the service they provided my family.

Went to Chapel of the light because it was highly recommended by a family member. Upon arrival…read morethere, we were met with a "surprised" look on the gentleman's face at the front desk. We let him know that we were there to make arrangements for my uncle who had passed a couple of days before. He asked if we had an appointment and we informed him that we were told by the receptionist who answered the phone that walk-ins were ok, he informed us that that was incorrect but he would try to locate someone who could meet with us. The gentleman then called to the back to verify if someone was available to help us. After waiting in an overly warm, gnat and mosquito laden waiting area for more than 30 minutes, we were escorted to the back office by Matt. Matt was condescending, rude and spoke to us as if we didn't understand what he was saying and couldn't afford the services he was offering. He kept looking at his watch as if we were wasting his time. At which point, I started gathering my things to leave because I will not stand for someone treating me as if we don't belong there. I stopped listening to him after a couple of minutes but gave my family member time to ask questions and to find out more. The absolute second we left out of the building we both looked at each other and decided we were never coming back because of overall feeling of not feeling welcome by any staff we encountered that day and Matt, is the absolute nail in the coffin for us deciding never returning there again!
