I've been twice now: first with Blake and most recently with Leks, and both experiences were excellent. Even though their website emphasizes neck and shoulders, both therapists were very comfortable working on my lower body as well when I told them that I'm a runner who needs it all (and yes, they still addressed neck and shoulders thoroughly). Blake's session leaned more toward deep tissue, which was exactly what I needed at the time. It was intense, but not TOO intense. He even did some whole-body assisted stretches at the end which was a nice cherry on top. Leks took a different approach and didn't seem to want to hurt me with deep pressure, but these knots are hearty! Even though I told him he could use more pressure, his work felt more like gentler myofascial release. I did tell him that I have a race this weekend and don't want to be sore, so maybe that's why he took it a bit easier on me. Still, he targeted all of my trouble spots and I walked out feeling like a new woman. (I still need someone to dig into my right trap a bit more, but I have another voucher already purchased so I'll be back!) Both therapists clearly know what they're doing, listen well, and adapt their work to what your body actually needs in that moment. If it weren't so far from my Santa Monica home, I'd absolutely be a regular. But they're open late, so I can wait til traffic dies down on weekdays and then the drive isn't too bad.
