Where do I even begin with describing how absolutely wonderful Michele is? I spent what felt like ages looking for a calligrapher who could pre-fill out my ceremonial marriage certificate and to do the placecards for the wedding reception. Even though she's based on Staten Island, we were able to work out a time to meet up in the city for both drop off and pick up of my items. Throughout the entire process, Michele was amazing. Michele was a dream to work with. I reached out on yelp on 12/11 and she called me within 30 minutes to discuss the project. She walked me through some options I hadn't considered (paper quality, color of ink, title, additional flourishes) without being "salesy", and she had a quote to me that evening. Her prices are comparable to other quotes I received, plus packing/shipping. I initially hoped I might be able to pick up the piece in person, but Michele is based in Staten Island and told me this during our first call. I appreciated that Michele was up front about her location, and I was happy to pay the packing/shipping fees. Michele put a lot of care into the packaging--the piece was placed within a cardboard mailer, inside more cardboard, inside a waterproof mailer with "Do Not Bend!" written on it multiple times.
