Upon arrival, she was friendly and well-prepared to provide what I needed. After set up, she found a great natural light area in the living room, and she started with my hair. After that, she worked on my make-up. Before finalizing everything, she asked me if there were any details I wanted to make sure to address. I provided some feedback, and Vanessa worked her magic. By the end of our time together, I could not believe how beautiful I looked! I had hired Vanessa to get me photo-ready for a photoshoot I was getting done at the house we were staying at. Additionally, I wasn't thinking about this when I chose her but it's worth mentioning that Nikol is a surprisingly fast worker, which is a huge relief on your wedding day. Running late, I panicked. At this moment, in walked an inebriated Mickey Rourke in a dress, introducing himself as "Nikol" and clumsily attempting to apply makeup to my face. (They say if you die in a dream you die in real life, so it was at this moment that I woke up. Yikes.) The general gist of this review is that Nikol is the opposite of a drunk Mickey Rourke trying to put fake eyelashes on your face. When researching makeup artists to do my wedding makeup, I was relieved to find Nikol's website. I loved that her portfolio revealed a makeup artist that enhanced each client's natural features / beauty without applying a heavy hand. I don't wear much makeup day to day, so I was looking for something that looked fancy but natural. (AKA I didn't want to show up to my wedding looking caked in makeup.) Nikol was very responsive and easy to talk to. She cares about connecting with her clients and, as a result, is a ton of fun to work with. She made it easy and convenient to set up a makeup trial, worked with me to figure out what I wanted on my wedding day, and seriously delivered when that day finally came. As someone who is a bit self-conscious and doesn't love being the center of attention, I so appreciated her relaxed demeanor, which helped put me at ease, and her ability to make me feel my best and most beautiful. Besides being incredibly gifted as an artist, Nikol is absolutely delightful. We had so much fun getting ready for my wedding that it will be forever one of the highlights of my day. Love her!

I was thinking of offering my appointment to her, but she left before I had a chance. She walked out even before giving the Raelynn a chance to make good on the situation. From my perspective this seemed like an unfortunate situation, but the salon did want to make it right somehow. I don't know the Raelynn personally but the 2 times she's cut my hair she seemed very personable, thoughtful, and client focused.

I came in to get my nails done French tip ombré style, and they were GORGEOUS. I have never had ombré done w an actual airbrush before- they were definitely wedding-level status! Even as they slowly grew out, they were clean around the nail beds and never snagged, cracked, or chipped! I normally do my own nails or get them done in SD when I go home on the weekends, but I will definitely be going to TD from now on while I'm stationed out here at 29 Palms. TD has been doing nails for such a long time- his artistry and attention to detail definitely show! I also appreciate the nice little arm/hand massage at the end after a long day at work!
