I've now been waxing with Stella for about five months, and the difference in my skin and hair growth has been incredible. I genuinely wish I would have started sooner! Stella is extremely detailed, caring, patient, and makes you feel so comfortable throughout the entire appointment. She also takes the time to actually educate you about your skin and gives the best tips for taking care of it between waxes. She recommended Zensa numbing cream for me because of my sensitive skin and low pain tolerance, and OMG -- I cannot go without it now! It has made such a difference for me, and every appointment gets easier and easier. And the great experience doesn't stop with Stella -- the reception staff is amazing too! Sophia is always so personable, welcoming, and sweet. She makes booking your next appointment so easy and breezy, which I really appreciate. The whole experience from walking in to checking out feels comfortable and taken care of. If you've been thinking about waxing but you're nervous or scared to start, DO IT! Staying consistent has completely changed my skin, my hair growth, and my overall experience with hair removal. Having someone like Stella who genuinely cares, pays attention to every detail, and helps you figure out what works best for your skin makes all the difference. 10/10 recommend starting your wax journey -- and absolutely letting Stella be a part of it! Five months in and I'm officially converted. I wouldn't want to go to anyone else!

Danielle, the owner, is an extremely talented esthetician who is friendly, welcoming, and has a magical touch. I love this place so much that every time I've visited New Orleans since moving away, booking a facial with Danielle is the first thing I do after purchasing my flights. The business itself is located on Freret where parking is ample on the main or side streets during most hours. The business is clean, with refreshments offered immediately upon walking in. Personally, I have only received facials but I know from first hand testimony by friends that their massages are just as incredible. The facials are accompanied by a full suite of Yonka products which are deliciously fragrant but gentle on the skin. Danielle is great at finding the perfect combination to make your skin looking the best it ever has by the time your treatment is over. I love this place so much I hand out business cards to anyone who compliments my skin when I'm in town. You absolutely will not regret giving this place a try.

I chose it with the hope of this and was not disappointed. My Micropeel facial with Hilary was just what I needed after a long busy summer in the heat. My eyebrows were tidied and tinted. She really put the T in therapeutic. I bounced out of the salon with a spring in my step ready to hike to Columns for cocktails. This spa is on the 8th floor of a vintage building on the Touro Infirmary campus. Parking was on the street. The elevator was to the right as you walk in the door and you go to the top floor. The spa is entire floor and ring the bell to have someone let you in from the elevator lobby. I think this is the 3rd location of this business. Glad they are in my area and that I found them! Booking is online. And was easy but with an extensive questionnaire. The products used are for sale and Jalyn let me know what she used but did not give me a hard sell. My skin is glowing and I will definitely be back.

The customer service needs a serious overhaul. I found this establishment on Yelp and choose to…read moregive the place a try. My appointment was scheduled a day before and no specific instructions regarding location or parking was given. Then at 1:00am the morning of the appt I received a confirmation text. (What an ideal time). On the day of the appt, my grandmother and I arrive and there are no signs or anything signaling a 1st time customer they are located in a plaza which clearly you cannot see from the street. A nice lady come to greet us but then I had to find parking. It was soooo HOT!! By the time I arrived in the building I had to freshen up in the bathroom. On the way walking toward the building there is A man with a dog tied to the bench in the breezeway just barking at everyone as they pass. What a scene on the way to serenity. Once I entered the building my 1st service was waiting on me. No paperwork was completed as a 1st time customer and was asked by the person doing the massage what areas I needed done. She was very pleasant and could tell I was FURIOUS with the process. She kept apologizing. THE MASSAGE WAS AMAZING!!!! I would recommend her but I am not toooooo fond of the place. Then the FACIAL!!' Absolutely horrible. I sat in a chair where the lady explained what she would be using. No time was my skin discussed. I clearly was not looking for a simple facial but because I set appointment day before I was not able to really understand what is entailed in each facial. Then the facial begins. When it was over no discussion of my skin and was. Told we will see you up front. Massage 1 hour and facial 30 minutes. Well my grandmother had a manicure. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY SHE WAS STILL DRYING AFTER 1.5hrs. After I paid and added $22.00 tip the cashier (same person who did my facial) says before I can even leave she left $22.00. WOW!!! Are you serious? No one even offered the products in the lobby for sale. After my facial my face was soooo dry it was ridiculous. I was not even asked what type of skin do I have. No type of data sheet done. After leaving there are a group of people sitting on a stump cussing, and arguing in the corridor patio area I was like I just spent $200.00 for this. I will never again. I would not even recommend this place to anyone

I LOVE Mimi's Laser Alternatives!! I will recommend this place to anyone that asks!…read more Mimi is just a wonderful, kind, personable lady! She is down-right lovable! She is friendly and always professional, going the extra mile for all of her clients. She goes as far as to recommend the best option for you, which could end up saving you money compared to a more expensive treatment you thought you needed. That cuts in on her income, but she does it anyway because she's just an honest woman looking out for your best interests!! Not to mention, the amount of time she spends with you to explain it all and answer every single question you have! We need more people like her in this world! I did a little bit of digging before choosing to try out Mimi's, and this place is one of the cheapest permanent hair removal locations in the area. I had a 3 session package for underarm hair removal. She started with a lower intensity for safety reasons initially. I thought it had no effect, but the hairs fell out on their own after a few weeks, and I was surprised! The second and third sessions were with higher intensity, and you do feel a bit more during the treatment. The flashes of light hurt a tiny bit, but as most of us women know, it's like a mosquito bite compared to ripping out your hair with an epilator or wax strip! After 3 sessions, you really see the difference! Even after months of leaving it alone, I basically have no more hair growth in my armpits! There are a few stragglers that I could probably take care of with her touch-up appointments, but those stragglers are so fine and thin now, they're hardly noticeable. Every woman sick of shaving/waxing/epilating should visit Mimi!!!
