They use Aveda products here, so before my massage, my masseuse had me smell several different Aveda scents to find out which oil and lotion she should use. Even just smelling the familiar botanical fragrances immediately put me in a more relaxed mood. There are showers and and a steam room in the changing area. There is also a TV on in this area, which I don't particularly like because it takes away from the whole "relax" vibe (especially because it was turned on to a news station), but it's all good.

The fitness room is tiny and very basic. The pool atrium is pretty but needs maintenance. Lots of cracked tiles, etc. There are never enough towels. Don't expect any amenities here. This place is very basic. Not the best place for a pool workout (like swimming laps) because since it is a hotel pool, it is always crowded with children whose parents don't keep track of them. Also, the parking lot is VERY far away from the gym and pool (approximately a four/five block walk from where you park to finally getting to the fitness area). And the roads and parking lot are in bad condition: they really need repaving. If you are trying to rehab from an injury, that really long walk from the car to the gym is difficult. Definitely NOT handicap friendly. In the winter especially, that long walk is brutal.

Parking: Convenient and free reserved hotel parking close to the entrance. Scheduling: The couples massage/spa suite experience books up quick so I'd recommend scheduling 2-3 weeks in advance. She did apologize for the issues and ended up getting it working. At the end she had to collect her belongings which is also a little awkward. It would've been great if she could've got the bath started so I didn't have to wait 15 minutes for it to fill up. You have 25 minutes to relax in the room and take a bath or a shower or use the sauna. This would be an excellent experience or well worth it if they allowed more time. The bath took 10 minutes to fill up/figure out and I only had 15 minutes left. 15 minutes is not enough for a bath and to get ready. I would've really enjoyed the amenities if I was allowed more time. I would say 45 minutes would be ideal. I think they should price higher if needed and give people this time. Without time to enjoy the amenities the spa is really just average. I like the brand of soap that they had available and that it is in a private room. Overall, everything just felt very rushed and not relaxing like a spa should be.
