Years ago... I remember year after year rumor(s) of expanding the original Wynwood Walls further to…read morethe west into the vacant property (owned by same parties that own Wynwood Walls)... And then during one of the Art Basel week, they presented us with a "doorway" into the new, expanded area known now as Wynwood Doors The area features a couple of long walls that feature wonderful murals (along the entire length of the walls) and a very large wall that presented an amazing Ron English mural (which highlighted that green, muscle baby). I loved that the mural continued onto the floor towards the viewers giving a three dimensional effect. The other side of the area has a bunch of small garage doors (like the ones to storage units) and each door had a mural or other art installation on it. Wynwood Doors also has a common area with grass (although they don't want you walking on it) and a tree with what appears to be chinese lantern lights and large boulders that people love to take photos on (which is great with the murals as the backdrop). What's cool is that metal roll-down gates were installed along the walls so they can be pulled up or down to reveal different pieces of art. They've always been down when I visit, but still cool to know. Artists come from all across the world and you can be sure they're some of the best. I really dig a lot of the work. There are some awesome lights hanging off of the tall tree in the middle that I always want to steal, and a cool dragon sculpture to add to the mix. It creates a unique environment, especially for special events! During Art Basel, I've gone to yoga classes inside the Wynwood Doors which is always fun and special. Overall, the Wynwood Doors were a great addition to the Wynwood scene five years ago. I'm sure it'll remain a regular spot in my Wynwood jaunt.

A very unsuspecting location, you would never know it was there unless you knew what to look for. Inside is a great lounge / Bar area where you can grab drinks, look at the art and just chill. I found the art to be breathtaking. Seating-- both indoor and outdoor. Huge open patio, with lots tables and great art on the walls outdoors as well. Service ---was fantastic, our waiter (Marella?) gave us several recommendations, was very pleasant/ attentive and never left us lingering. The rest of the staff was fantastic, the hostess was very sweet, the other servers were constantly refilling our drinks and water. I find service in Miami is very slow, but the White Porch definitely changed my opinion on that. Food: Overall the food was very tasty. Lots of great options to share. I can't wait to go back and try some additional items. We had: Apps: Duck Egg Rolls ---nice sauce, very tender Lobster Clam Chowder ---great big pieces of lobster, only complaint was I wish it had a bit more spice. Entree: Short Ribs --super tender, meat melted in your mouth, the potatoes were incredible. Seafood Coconut Curry --Incredible, like a paella but with the rice on the side, the curry had the most amazing flavor, the seafood was perfectly cooked Falafel --huge portion, nice spice to the dish. Loved that they offer 1/2 portions on almost all of the dishes. A great place to share with a group or a date. Drinks ---nice, very well priced wine bottles, house cocktails were vary tasty. Parking ---I would say valet or park as close as possible, the art neighborhood is still one of the up and coming spots, so a tad sketchy. This place is truly a unique spot and I would highly recommend it. A great spot for guests visiting from out of town, a date or a night out with friends.

I was confused to find that the restaurant where the event was to be held was permanently closed! I called the restaurant and the phone was disconnected. I contacted Yaymaker repeatedly and the event host, Brittney to request an explanation and refund. Radio silence. There is no way to reach anyone by phone and the company refuses to resolve issues when you send emails. I'm not sure if this is a scam or if it's just an extremely poorly run business. Either way, I am out over $60 and left trying to figure out how to receive a refund from this ghost company.

Yesterday was one of the most memorable and self gratifying moments of my life thanks to the…read moreamazing AMI! Event was held in an Irish bar in Coral Gables. There was ample room to paint, waiters walking about refiling drinks (only two waiters for a full room so it did take a while), and lets not forget the amazing energy flowing about! I remember painting in elementary school where I would get a pat in the back and think 'I'll do better next time, I suck'... But in this environment I felt like anything goes, I felt like Picasso, I felt good, and I felt like I can take over the world with my love owls! Ami was extremely open to what you want, very patient with us and our ability as an artist, she would walk around and let people know what she liked, lets not forget she was also exceptionally encouraging! Everyone used the same paint, but we are all did something different and added our own personal touches. A definite must try for anyone... Open for any age group and any type of relationship. With friends, your significant other, or someone random you want to drag along, just DO it!

Located at the mana convention center during art Basel 2025, this busy gallery was much improved…read moreover last years! There was ample art. A lot of people and slightly narrow lanes. I also saw concessions like coffee and drinks throughout. People come in a wide range of styles here, and I think they're something for everyone. It's located in wynnwood which is known for their street art. Plenty of walkable spots nearby, but you might want to ride share in as parking is not the most friendly.

Leah Arts District is not in real close proximity of bars and restaurants. It is in a very industrial district. The quality of the murals is great. I drove around to see the murals, you could easily walk the area but then again, it is very industrial. I saw everything in less than 30 minutes. The murals are nice to see but if you go set your expectations accordingly. I believe they may hold special events.

The two wanted to create something cool that would attract people to Hialeah which didn't have any cultural arts programs. The pair picked a name for the area and partners were selected to launch the project. The first event was a street festival held in April 2015 which was attended by over 2,000 people. The Leah Arts District is adjacent to Flamingo Plaza, a place to get your off beat purchases. The arts district is located in warehouses that were a hub of manufacturing in the 80's and 90's. After work was outsourced the warehouses were abandoned. Thrift stores moved into the area sparking an arts scene. The Leah Arts District emerged as an affordable place for artists to live, work, and showcase their art. It's located only 15 minutes from the more well known Wynwood Arts District. The Leah hosts block parties, live music, workshops, and performances. The area has approximately 30 murals from East 9th Street to East 17th Street and East Tenth Ave to the railroad tracks You can follow the Leah Arts District on Facebook for upcoming events. Unbranded Brewing Company is having their grand opening on February 23 and the annual block party is on March 7. I would recommend attending one of the events because on a Sunday afternoon the area was completely dead. Right now the Leah Arts Districts looks Wynwood did in 2005. The rent is lower here which is attracting artists. This area is being touted as the next Wynwood so it will be interesting to see how things develop. It's definitely a place to keep your eye on.

I finally made it to PAMM after living in South Florida for years, and it was a good experience…read moreoverall. We went on the second Saturday of the month when admission is free. When we arrived around 4 PM, the parking garage was full and we were told we would have 10 minutes to find parking. We got really lucky and were able to secure a spot. Parking was $18, which is pretty normal for downtown Miami, and it was convenient being able to park on-site. I would not consider myself a big "art" person, but I really enjoyed some of the exhibits, as well as the fun Chromosaturation room. Afterwards, we were able to check out the Resilient Lady ship as she was leaving port of miami, which was nice and relaxing. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would definitely recommend checking it out, especially on one of the free admission days.
