Friday she told us that we can see the house 10:00 a.m. on June 30th. This morning she now informs us that she has three other applications and is not going to show us the house. However, after only a short time, I discovered Kessling was even worse. I had simply asked to have a quick property inspection to assess the condition of the house specifically the fence my renters were asking to have replaced. It took them months to complete this and then he didn't inspect the condition of the air filter, which is something I specifically asked him to do. On top of that, he "referred" me to a contractor do repairs but refused to follow up with the guy when my renters complained and sent pictures of the job not being completed. That was apparently "my problem". And, if that's the case, why even have a property manager if they do nothing more than collect rent? I can do that myself without being there in person. On top of that, they refuse to embrace technology which alone isn't a dealbreaker but makes them very hard to work with. My renters were not happy to be having to drop off a physical check at their office all the time nor was I satisfied with handwritten (barely legible) statements with next to no details on them.

They have treated me and my parents like family. They even helped me buy a house in another state and coordinated everything with that!

After months on end of issues happening to our townhome and making our downstairs and backyard unusable, the manager only gave us a $100 visa gift card to compensate for the increase we saw in our electric bill since the contractors put industrial fans in our apartment after the flood. They charged both cleaning and make ready fees (which are the same thing), for a garage door opener that we asked for and never did receive in the first place, and charged $1360 to mulch a dime sized yard. They either have a relative working for the company or have a side hustle because it coses a quarter of that for my 3 acre yard and no tenant should be responsible for much to start with. Also, picture s of the carpet after renting a machine showed it was pristine but they are charging to have it cleaned anyway. Except for damage to a mini blind and a window sill, the place was left better than it was received. The lesson is- you may as well leave your place trashed because you definitely aren't getting the deposit back.

That was over a week ago and i haven't seen or heard from him since. i called my point of contact over there specifically about it and i STILL haven't heard anything. i think, as the renter, you have to be VERY persistent to get things done with them. they act like they are very good about it upon initial move-in, but after a few days, you fall by the wayside with all the other renters and you become forgotten. it's getting very frustrating, but what can you do when you're not the one paying them? i am simply the one living in the house with the issues :/
