All too often, student entrepreneurs are faced with the decision to either pursue higher education…read moreor pursue entrepreneurship. That was the very dilemma I faced during my undergraduate journey. Additionally, I was a student who wanted the creative freedom to further develop her technical skillset and create products that felt truly impactful. I was met with the dilemma of either pursuing entrepreneurship full-time, focusing solely on my degree, or risk burning myself out while trying to do both. When I was made aware of the MBI program at USV, it honestly felt too good to be true. This is the exact program I was looking for--a chance to refine my technical skills and learn new ones, dive into entrepreneurship, and obtain academic credit and a graduate degree while doing so. I am truly grateful for the incredible support I receive from my USV network and the leadership, and I could not recommend this program more.

Like a lot of schools though, things changed after the pandemic. For a while the on-site environment just wasn't the same. There were fewer students around and not as many industry events or speakers coming through. I ended up leaving in 2023 and came back in Fall 2024, and since then I've honestly seen a big shift. With the new leadership, the school feels like it has a much clearer direction now. There are more internships across majors, stronger career support, real mentorship, and more opportunities to work on actual client projects instead of just assignments. I also like that the support doesn't stop once you graduate. Alumni can still access school resources, get help with career opportunities, and even audit classes for free to keep learning. Overall it's been pretty impressive seeing how much the school has evolved in a relatively short period of time.

Do Not Join this college!!!!…read more You will see a paid review, what the other students saying. I am not blaming here the student but the students sometime gets involved. California Takshila University is an un acredited University and its 4 star rating given by 1 student. I can find no third-party sourcing substantiating the existence of this institution. It's not included on the long California BPPE list of approved institutions at http://www.bppe.ca.gov/schools/approved_schools.shtml and it is has not submitted an annual report to BPPE: https://www.dca.ca.gov/webapps/bppe/annual_report.php . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/California_Takshila_University A Big Scam as this college does not have basic license from BPPE in California. That means the college should not have recruit a single student. Even you consider join please read below. Cons - No published sylabuss -Adhoc teaching - There is no standard teaching policy -No program is at par with minimum California requirement. - I have graduated with meaningless as i can not apply the knowldge outside. i have completed 36 units with just 0 Knowledge Mis management and students are help less. I have seen so many small schools but this one is not just right, they play with students future. Anybody comes and ask questions and un necessary too sometime. Some persons are just there without we know what they do in school? Pros- Not many as I am happy being student as i do not have to do assignment and home work - ok i have to mention something teachers are easy and Google and You tube is the sources. - Takshila does not follow the conventional way of teaching because they dont have a path of teaching. everything starts with Solar ends with Bio Fuel etc etc. - They need to take care of the university where i can proudly say I am a student of Takshila. - lack of understanding of students, some arrogant people out there including school staff Comments I will not recommend any one to waste even $100 in this school. The degree is not worth and knowldge is zero which you will gain. And there is pain as the management will trap you by showing you initially how much they care about you. Immigration students do not join the college and do not be part of the scam, later on you will regret. A big no for joining this college. The Next Trivalley in begining Thanks

Go figure they're still trying to drain me of every last cent even after graduation. This school is nothing but an overpriced, money hungry, MLM version of a school. I am absolutely disgusted with how they've handled the situations throughout the years, all regarding finance. I'm a veteran and still left this school with student loans because of how much they charged. I would never and will never recommend this school.

Very very unprofessional never seen this type of behavior before. Also if you have question about something for teacher and send email it takes forever to get response if you get one at all. 2 different teachers did not correct any of my lab simulations which caused me to fail classes. I even sent proof I did them and got nothing from teacher. Emailed school about my concerns and was brushed off even though it was supposed to be sent to dean. I guess my concerns don't matter and what the teachers do there is fine. I will be talking to my lawyer about legal action against school.

It's…read morea rigorous program that pushes for social equity and preparedness as a professional public school teacher. The classes are not too bad; most of my classmates and professors are awesome. I can't wait to graduate (again) in December 2026! Fun fact: SJSU's Teacher Education department is the oldest public teacher preparatory program in California! To go back even farther, I got my Bachelor of Arts in journalism here. My academic journey was atypical: I first enrolled in August 2011 and officially graduated in August 2022. I'll spare y'all the details, but I'm proud of myself for coming back and finishing my degree. It just proves that anybody can get a college degree if you really put your mind to it. SJSU is a world-class university smack dab in the middle of the Bay Area. It's gotten better since I first enrolled and its location will only continue to make it an enticing option for college students. $4,700 a semester for full-time enrollment is honestly a steal. If you can focus on your goal of getting your degree and block out distractions, SJSU is awesome for what it is. There is free parking on the streets off campus if you know where to look. I don't recommend using the gym, library, or student union tbh. They're overcrowded and noisy. Just get food off-campus and study at home or a Santa Clara County or San Jose public library instead; they're quieter, and you have less of a chance of someone stealing your stuff. There are some occasional incidents with unhoused individuals having public mental health breakdowns, but it's nearly nonexistent compared to the 2010s.

I enrolled myself back to school (SJCC) during the height of the pandemic. Anyway, though school is a drag because it requires attendance, hard work, attention, memorialization, organization, understanding, and follow-through but I still feel butterflies in my stomach each time I am on campus. The orientation was long and I didn't think it should be mandatory, but if you don't attend then you will not be able to register for any classes. Parking is rough but I have been lucky to find parking across the street from Banh Mi Oven Tuesday evenings. I had 9 units - 2 online classes and 1 in-person class. You need a badge to get into buildings, so try not to lose it. During orientation towards the tail end of it, advisors/counselors were very helpful. I scheduled a Zoom with a counselor during the semester to confirm what I need and don't need to take. Both experiences have been wonderful. I am majoring in Sociology. The student union building (eateries, bookstores, bowling alley, etc.) is spacious and clean. It's busy during the school year. They only have Pepsi products on campus and no vending machines! There is a cafeteria-style food area as well. It is near their awesome gym equipped with a rock climbing wall, too. I have not had a chance to work out there yet. I also love the fact that MLK library is pretty much on campus as well. I just finished summer semester and still I'm in awe that I am a Spartan. Maybe I'll get sick of it but so far the only thing I'm sick of is their tuition. I don't qualify for financial aid, so I need to take a loan (financial aid and photos for IDs) are not on campus so plan ahead if you need to come there or to the bursar's office. My summer class alone not including textbook rental costed me $1580. For once class. Thankfully there are loans. Lots of flyers and posts on their Sammy app. I was fortunate to help make individual tiramisu for the honors history club. I don't have time to socialize. Let's be real. I'm old to be these students' mom, so I'm not trying to be but I enjoy reading posts and seeing the flyers and help wherever I can. I'm registered for 12 units this fall. Wish me luck!
