I went from attempting to play tabs via tab apps and youtube to actually learning how to play chords in various places along the neck, learning notes in scales, playing mini solos and actually playing entire songs. The songs and scales I learn and the pace are my own choosing. I've learned quite a few songs - enough to show off when camping. I mainly do the blues, classic rock, modern rock thing - isley brothers, richie valens, pink floyd, creedence, eagles ac/dc, green day, jason mraz, foo fighters, etc. He is extremely knowledgeable and usually picks up the chord structure without having to research the song. Additionally he's helped me fix/ refurbish my electric guitar when he saw some issues (the neck was bent/arched and he knew had to adjust the truss rod, modified the pickups, etc) which has made it much easier to play - not too mentions it sounds better too. Also he helped me purchase an acoustic guitar. He's so good that I stuck with him after I moved to the East Bay. Added bonuses Bonus #1: He's flexible about re-scheduling if you are on vacation, sick, etc. Bonus #2: He accepts credit cards (Square) Bonus #3: He has lesson blocks as small as a half hour making it more affordable If you are on the Peninsula look him up.

From our first lesson together, and throughout the time I have been taking lessons from him he has made me feel super comfortable, and is good at building me up so I feel confident to go farther, and at the same time constantly challenging me, pushing me to excel. I was quickly impressed with his wealth of information. He has an extensive knowledge about the actual drums themselves, playing drums, and many different genres of music. Brian can educate on a wide spectrum of whatever is it you are wanting to learn when it comes to drumming. He is VERY thorough, VERY patient and VERY helpful. He is reliable as far as scheduling appointments, and showing up on time, and is always prepared. His rate is fair, and B Street Music(the store where he teaches) is an easy location to get to, as well as a great place to buy drumming equipment. ALSO, Brian helped me when purchasing my first drum set, guiding me in the right direction, and even checking craigslist daily to help me find the best deal! I highly recommend him for lessons, whether you are a first time beginner, an advanced drummer and everything in between. Brian ROCKS!!! Literally!

Warning to anyone buying from this seller through Reverb. Please do not let what happened to me…read morehappen to you. Guitar Wars knowingly bait and switched me on a Roland JC 120 amplifier. The price seemed fair enough and the picture seemed to match the description, however, the amp I received was a far cry from either. It arrived in an unsalvageable old furniture box, poorly packed, and absolutely beat to death. The model JC 120 that was delivered was not the same amplifier as the one advertised. It was hardly functional, the cabinet was cracked and tattered, channels popping and fizzing and knobs mostly not functioning. On top of that, it was filthy. Anyone who has ever played through a JC 120 knows that these are heavy amps that require casters to move them in any reasonable fashion. While pictured with the clean amp in the listing (the one that I did not receive), the tattered and battered model that was delivered to me did not have them. So here I am, essentially stuck with a useless burned out shell of a JC 120 that's basically immovable by one person without a hand truck. See pictures below. Guitar Wars knowingly scammed me out of $800+, don't let it happen to you. Please keep in mind, this did not happen in shipping. This was very much orchestrated intentionally. The amp was listed in "Good" condition. Please find a few images of the actual listing they posted below the images of the box. **please see Google reviews for pictures mentioned above**
