The day has finally come for me to say goodbye to my old 2014 Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch laptop. After a quick search, I discovered this e-waste recycling center and decided to stop by for a walk-in visit without an appointment. Drop-off is completely free and there's plenty of parking available within the commercial office plaza. [Process]: The process is super simple - just walk into the office, mention that you're here for e-waste recycling, and fill out a basic form with details like point of contact, address, phone number, and email. After that you are good to go! For larger items, there's a designated drop-off point located just outside the office. [Data destruction]: California Electronics provides free and guaranteed secure data destruction for all electronic materials. All data is destroyed in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines for Media Sanitization (NIST 800-88). [Acceptable items]: Computers / servers / laptops / tablets / hard drives / keyboard / mouse / monitor / TV / DVD & VHS player / typewriter / printer / copier / fax radio / alarm clock / speakers / iPod & MP3 / AV equipment / remote controls / ups or pcu boards / cpu / memory & ram / wire / metal networking hardware / mobile phones / telephones / modems / toner & ink / satellite receivers / satellite dishes [Unacceptable items]: Light bulbs / fluorescent tubes / appliances / paint / hazardous materials / adhesives / liquids / chemicals / furniture / batteries [Conclusion]: I was surprised that I was able to complete the entire drop off process in approximately 5 minutes with no wait time. I will definitely return to California Electronics if I have other electronic equipment to recycle. read more

We have worked with California Electronics for several years to manage our company's electronic waste disposal, and they have consistently exceeded our expectations. Their team is highly professional, knowledgeable about the latest environmental regulations (CalRecycle, R2/RIOS), and ensures a fully documented chain of custody. The pickup process is always smooth and scheduled at our convenience. Most importantly, they provide clear certification of data destruction and environmentally responsible recycling, which gives us complete peace of mind. Great place to get big electronics recycled, drove up to the door, and they helped me load a big tv onto their cart and that was it. Easy.

We have partner up with California Electronics for our E-Waste products program. It has been a great journey. Thanks for the support and making it easy to do this. Jorge Gonzalez WHSE MGR read more

This is warehouse size place. Really easy. Showed up, dropped off my electronics and pretty much walked away. I dropped off a couple laptops which I had removed the HDs myself but they told me they wipe all drives and even do certified wiping which costs $5-25 depending on what it is. That's pretty cool. read more

I've been here twice They make it super easy to recycle your items. This last time I just drove over with a few PC parts and a electronic pressure cooker that died on me. Just need to fill out a form, and they'll take the items and you're good to go! read more

I am glad I have found this place. I had a 50 inches TV that I need to get rid of. After google around I found this place that is willing to take my old TV. Nowadays, some places charge me to dispose of old TV. I first made a call to make sure they will take my TV for free and drove to their location in Garden Grove. A staff help me to put down the TV together. Fill out a form with my name, address, email address and done. read more

They were very friendly, prompt, easy to communicate with and made the process of recycling electronics so convenient as they come to your door! Will definitely use them again!! read more

I contacted this company via email to request a pick up for around 25 items, and heard back quickly. My pickup was considered a smaller pickup for them, so they let me know they would get back to me when they were able to combine it with another pickup in my area, to keep it free. I heard back three days later with a date and pickup time which was awesome. The driver arrived at the exact scheduled time and was able to take everything we had for him. Ive had a lot of trouble with actually finding someone to respond to my requests for pickups, even companies I have used in the past, so this was AWESOME and appreciated. Thanks for the quick responses, and the professionalism from emails to pickup! Will definitely contact you again next time we need help! read more

CA Electronics provided excellent service that was according to their quote...Pick up was efficient and on time and the driver was helpful and friendly...I highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future read more

Save your time and gas! What a ripoff. Brought them a trunk full of recycling, including expensive toner cartridges and got a whopping $0 and not even a receipt! They said receipt would be e-mailed. We'll see. Even the monitors, for which a recycling fee was paid at purchase, and which they are supposed to refund when you recycle got me $0. Stay away. read more

Awesome company. Schedule the pickup and showed up on time. Went above and beyond to accommodate a bit of scope creep. Have worked with them several times now. read more

Right off 55 and Main, California Electronics Recyler is a convenient spot to drop off your e-waste with the perk of possibly to exchange for a refurbished tv, monitor, vacuum, or other used electronic. They are only open during business hours on weekdays. Best to call to confirm current policy in case there are any confusions. The whole process is a breeze, less than 10 min in and out: 1. follow the sign to the warehouse to drop of your e-waste 2. fill out a slip with your info on it while the rep weighs your item 3. sign and take the slip to the front office to pick your desired refurbished electronic/computer peripheral Tips: One free exchange per person per year 1. Free e-waste recycling under 30lbs; over that that, it's 10 cents per lb 2. If your big screen TV's glass surface is intact, they won't charge you to recycle it here 3. They will wipe off your hardware/laptop, so no worries if you forgot to do so beforehand. The workers are courteous and doing great stuff for the community! read more

Our church had stowed away electronics in every area of our campus and promptly forgot we had them (for years). In an effort to do spring cleaning, I reached out to California Electronics' website and found clear instructions as to what we could recycle and what fees were charged for some items. We easily fell into their free pickup! I set a pickup appointment and they were professional and timely administratively and in person. Thank you, California Electronics. Well done. read more

These guys were super efficient and reliable. They did an office cleaning at our building, and even with over 11 floors to service they didn't even seem to break a sweat. We had 208lbs of e-waste for them, and after seeing us struggling carrying the first load down they told us to just sit back and wait. A few minutes later they rolled up with one of those hotel dollies and loaded up everything in like 3 minutes and were out the door. They weighed everything for us as well and sent us a nice clean PDF of the recycling slip within 48 hrs. Really awesome service, and I'd absolutely recommend them. Took so much clutter away from us and relieved us of a huuuge headache! read more

I use to drop all of my ewaste off here. I love the fact that something is done with it instead of just landfill. Unfortunately I found out today they apparently dont take everything for free anymore. If the electronic is not part of a list they have (which they dont mention on Craigslist) you have to pay to have them take it. Oh, and dont take more than an item or two from 12-1 apparently that's lunch time and the crew that knows what they can take isn't there at that time. Will not be going back. 3 star review for good past experience. Lost 2 stars for today's experience. read more

Very easy experience. There was signage as for where to park. I went up to the door and rang the bell. A kind man came out and unloaded all of my electronics for me, even a big heavy TV. I filled out a short form and was back on my way in 5 minutes! Everyone I saw was wearing a mask and seemed very safe. I highly recommend this easy, painless E-waste facility for anyone. read more

Had to find a drop-off location to recycle my old 27" tv (big & bulky). I'm an older lady and my knee is on the mend (I look stronger than I am) so I highly recommend this place which makes it easy to recycle. First, found another recycling company that had a drop-off location nearer to me (Michaelson & Jamboree) but when I went there, the guy working there was busy and said I would have to unload it on a dolly and take it up the stairs to get it into the drop-off location - ugh. Decided to try and find another recycler and found California Electronics Recycler was not too far away. Better yet, when I called, the man was so helpful and courteous on the phone, even saying that they will get it out of my car. It was that easy - easy location, easy parking , and he came out to the car to get it for me. I filled out a form and received an e-receipt today. Thank you!! read more

This is the second time I've used this service. Great company. This time there was a lot for them to pick up. Their worker was on time, friendly, and helpful. Their process was quick and easy. We didn't pay for the service, and they ended up picking up more than I had expected, saving us money for the junk hauler. Certificate came to me via email as expected. I would definitely use them again when needed. read more

AMAZING, Excellent Service! Many great things to say about this service: 1) Prompt - Gave them a call last friday to schedule a pickup appointment. They told me they could make an appointment for next Monday, Weds, or Fri. Set the appointment for today and they arrived promptly at the scheduled time! Yes, they arrived ON TIME!!! 2) Friendly, courteous, and helpful - the two gentlemen that arrived were direct to the point, came in, picked up all the e-waste we had, and had no issues. **Items picked up included a 50" Projection TV and a pretty heavy 32" CRT TV, among other things 3) Certificate of Disposal - they said they would email me a certificate of disposal as soon as they process it. 4) FREE!! Worst Company to work with. Scheduled two events for our yearly eWaste events and our First event they were very rude and not helpful.
