He was…read morevery patient with my wife and I as we worked with him to come up with the final design in the kitchen and pantry that you see in the pictures. Originally we were just going to modify an existing upper cabinet so that we could add a new refrigerator underneath it and install new shelving in the pantry. We then decided to change all of the existing cabinet doors for new shaker doors and do lower cabinets and free floating shelves in the pantry so that everything would match. Since we were already this far into the process, we added pull out shelving in the existing kitchen cabinet boxes which now makes it easier to access items on these shelves. I was most impressed with how Rick was able to install infills on both sides of the microwave to make it look like it was part of the kitchens original cabinets. Rick is by far the best one of the best subcontractors that we've had work on our home, and being a commercial general contractor myself, that says a lot. His pricing is fair and the quality of his work is outstanding and exceptional. He communicates with you to make sure that you get what your expecting and there are no surprises.

In an era of mass-produced mediocrity, true craftsmanship is a rare commodity. Frank Amezcua is not…read moremerely a cabinetmaker; he is a pure artist and an extraordinary human being. Our journey with Frank began in the wake of a devastating water leak that forced us to tear out every cabinet in our home. What could have been a logistical nightmare was transformed into a masterclass in design and execution. Frank collaborated with us intimately from the first measurement to the final installation, proving at every juncture that he simply does not know how to cut corners. He listens, he adapts, and he pours his soul into crafting something you will revere and cherish for years to come. The final result is beyond amazing. Our neighbors are consistently in awe of the finer details, but the true brilliance of Frank's work lies in his uncompromising standards. The flawless finishes you see are matched entirely by the structural integrity you don't see hidden behind the facades. These cabinets are rock solid, meticulously engineered, and will unequivocally outlast our lifetimes. More importantly than the wood and the hardware is the character of the man behind the work. Frank is a profoundly good family man, and it was a genuine privilege to watch him work so closely and patiently alongside his sweet son, Anthony. They bring a level of integrity and heart into your home that you cannot put a price on. PS: If you are looking for a rapid, slapdash turnaround, Frank is not the artisan for you--Ikea might be a better fit. But if you demand the exquisite and want a masterpiece installed in your home, look no further. I am more than happy to send pictures of our stunning cabinets to anyone who wants to see this level of artistry firsthand.

When we first started designing our kitchen, we connected with Frank, who was incredibly…read moreresponsive, communicative, reasonably priced, and attentive to detail. He worked closely with us throughout the design process to bring our dream kitchen to life, and we genuinely appreciated his craftsmanship and the effort he put into the project. Unfortunately, as the project progressed, our experience became increasingly inconsistent. Frank worked with other contractors whose involvement would often fall through, making parts of the process unreliable. We also chose custom maple wood with a specific stain, and achieving a consistent color match proved challenging. After the kitchen was installed, we noticed that several drawer fronts and cabinets had been installed incorrectly and showed visible damage. Frank agreed to replace the affected pieces, and we were hopeful that everything would be resolved. However, nearly six months later, we are still waiting for the job to be completed. We have made repeated attempts to contact Frank to schedule the remaining work. Initially, he would respond, explain the delays, and provide estimated completion dates, but those dates continued to pass without resolution. More recently, our messages have gone unanswered entirely. This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially because we genuinely wanted to share a highly positive review recognizing Frank's craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism. Throughout the project, Frank frequently emphasized his strong work ethic and commitment to his clients, which made the lack of follow-through at the end particularly disheartening. We would love the opportunity to update this review if Frank follows through and completes the remaining work. Unfortunately, as things stand, what began as a promising experience has ended on a disappointing note. While we appreciated his efforts during the design process, we believe that accountability, communication, and follow-through are just as important as the quality of the initial work.

This was not a $20k or 30k job - it was much bigger. So we had to be absolutely sure of the craftsmanship, the customer service, and more. It had to be fully custom and absolutely world class quality to fit the quality of the home and kitchen remodel. Summary - they delivered beyond my absurdly high expectations. From the very start, my designer had a good feeling about Mike - he was very upfront and transparent, and his whole team was full of nice people. Shelly is very responsive and helpful even with the basic things - you can tell right away they care a lot about attention to detail and to customer service. We hired Mike over 5 others we considered, and he was the most expensive bid actually (not by too much, by about 5% more than the 2nd highest and about 10% more than the lowest). Hiring Dickinson Cabinetry proved to be one of the very best decisions we made in our 1 year long remodel. In the middle of supply chain issues and Covid, Mike was always honest about the timeline. It was a bit longer than I would have liked but that was no fault of Mike's - everything was delayed. But Mike was honest and helpful and level headed about it all. Then came the product and install date. Mike's team, led by Raul, came by for delivery right on time in the morning and let me just tell you - the QUALITY of these cabinets and the wood island is absolutely obvious. The craftsmanship is superb. If you know nothing about cabinets, even then it's obvious. That's the great thing about great things - everyone can tell it's great! Now here is where it starts to get really amazing. We had a few issues and changes requested. Joe was the man here - he was super helpful along with being such a nice guy. He never got annoyed at my small requests and it was clear Joe & Mike wanted my family to be 110% happy. Antonio came by to do touch up work and is a very patient and talented guy. He must have come back 4 times - each time with a smile on his face and endless patience to get it perfect as I wanted it. Antonio did a great job fixing up every little nook and cranny I needed help with - just an awesome job. Some other cabinet makers might make nice cabinets. The Hyatt has nice hotel rooms, too. Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly - they are like the Four Seasons. Every little detail is world class. I have enjoyed every conversation I have had with every member of this team because everyone is just so nice and customer focused and patient. Along with the cabinets being a work of art themselves oozing with quality. If you are considering Dickinson Cabinetry, my strong opinion is you would be making a big mistake if you picked another cabinet maker. Thank you so much Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly!
