As we were first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions, and were unsure of many details. Matt was very helpful in clarifying things for us, and was always available to answer our questions. My wife and I wanted to look at various options and see how the numbers change between 30 yr, 20 yr, 15 yr, and ARM loans. We also wanted to see how things change between putting more or less down up front. Matt was very quick to work out all of these options for us and sent us all of our options via email. We were able to clearly see what we wanted to do and go from there. Communication was consistently quick and painless. Even after our home purchase, I had reached out to Matt to ask him to forward me an Amortization schedule. Matt was quick to do this and made himself available to clarify any questions for us. Buying a home for the first time is not easy. Working with the right lender is crucial. We were fortunate to meet Matt and have him guide us through this whole process. We are now very happy home owners. The process with Matt was seamless and painless. Almost everything was electronic. Matt is clearly dedicated to his work and prioritizes his clients. We are very happy to have worked with him and will definitely do so in the future.

She was very professional , responsive and had wonderful follow-up. If I had a question and she did not know the answer she would research the issue until she found the answer. She should really teach a seminar to employees on customer service. If you give out awards I would definitely recommend her for one in recognition of her excellent customer service.

I am a numbers gal and I always want to be able to see where each figure ties to. Elizabeth Warner, our Loan Officer with NVR, went above and beyond for us every single time and I would describe her as nothing short of amazing. She has sat on numerous hour-long calls with me while I ask the same questions in different phrasing until I am certain I understand something. She is patient, extremely personable, and does not make you feel like a nuisance at all, no matter the question! She was always easily accessible and if I couldn't get a hold of her right away she was always back in touch with me on the same business day. I never thought I would be in the place to say I trust a lender, but I truly and wholeheartedly trust this woman and her word, and I know she has done right by us throughout the entire process. If you are looking for a lending team that has your back and makes you feel comfortable and heard throughout your home buying ordeal, look no further than Elizabeth! Every conversation with her has been nothing but pleasant and I am eternally grateful that she was the one to oversee our first time purchasing a home.

Oct/Nov 2022, I used him to purchase my first SFH when rates were skyrocketing. I had great experiences with him previously and was happy to use him again as he was able to match or beat other quotes previously. While I was in the middle of switch jobs and moving, I asked him for different loan type quotes, but asked that he used the same purchase price and down amount for an apples to apples comparison (obviously). I trusted him and in my haste to initiate the process, did not see that he manipulated the quotes to make it look like the ARMs were the better deal. He was heavily pushing them. I only agreed to initiate the process with the understanding that I can still shop around for quotes (as I did the previous times) and switch to a traditional loan if needed. When I had time to review everything, I asked for new apples to apples quotes for the loan types and gave him other quotes to match. Rates were fluctuating so I needed updated numbers regardless. He went jekyll and hyde on me - became angry and asked why I didn't trust him and why I was worried about "doomsday" - rates will go down and I should stick with the ARM. Apparently he did not learn anything from the 08/09 financial crisis. He said he was going on vacation and went from texting me all hours to not responding to any of calls, emails, or texts when I was closing in less than 2 weeks. He made up "explanations" about how hard it was to get new quotes from his "moody secondary market managers" and that it's not easy to do. He is unstable, untrustworthy, and unreliable. Upon talking to others, I discovered this is a pattern for him. He apparently texted someone I know "f you" when the person decided to go with a lower quote lender. Acts nice at first, but is unstable - go with someone else.

We couldn't be happier with our decision. Choosing a lender is not only about the lowest rates, though Apex is in line with the market, you also need to trust that they can shepherd you and the loan through the complex path to closing. Apex can and make it feel easy. Apex took care of us from the day I requested a quote through their website. Jon Ingram contacted us within hours and scheduled a phone call later that afternoon to discuss our options and the process with Craig Strent, the CEO. Craig was informative and patient with our questions. We never felt like we were imposing on his time. Jon did a great job taking care of everything through our entering a ratified contract for a property, and Amy Smith took point through the closing.
