Let me start by saying I NEVER leave reviews unless things are extraordinarily good or bad. My family and I have the worst luck with other drivers. This is the 4th time we've had to bring a car in for major bodywork in the last 6 or 7 years. Since the first time, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Ask for Bryan Derrick. He's a sharp guy who will take good care of you and your car. He and the rest of the staff make you like feel you're the most important customer they've ever had from the very beginning. And they take pride in their work. We've had experiences with other big name shops like not painting inside (but visible) parts of panels, not matching the paint, poor job of blending new paint to old, etc. After those problems, when Caliber gives us the car back, I check very closely for the little details. I look so close and can't for the life of me find flaws. These guys truly take pride in their work. Jamie Bowers is the store manager and props to him for being so friendly and available. He's either in the shop or talking to customers. He must be doing something right to run such a tight ship. And finally, how can I not mention Wanda? She's at the front desk welcoming customers, talking to vendors and insurance companies, and working up paperwork. The best part is that she makes it look easy and always has a smile on her face. I hope you never need bodywork. But if you do, don't compound the headache by going to anyone else. read more

So I backed into a post with my tailgate down(I swear the post moved!) I went to the for an estimate. While completing the steps in the parking lot to request an appointment on line, a woman came out to ask If she could help me as she saw what I was doing. She was very nice and went to get some one to look at the tailgate. He never got close to the damage and just stated, no. I asked what no meant. He said it could not be repaired. I asked about what that would run and he just shrugged his shoulders, and waved me off with a flip of his hand as he walked away. Never saw anyone more rude. The young woman actually apologized for him, but I told that attitude goes a long way. I then called the dealer and found that for a new tailgate for my 22 Frontier would run around $2500 when all was said and done. I then went to Richard Wrights Chop Shop, West Columbia, and they repaired it like new for $600. Caliber is not an auto body shop. They are just parts changers who will rip you off. read more

Terrible! My car was not repaired. When I saw the damage on the car, I called about it immediately. The manager Jamie said it was my fault, said the damage was already there. When I proved the damage was missed by them, he went on to tell me that he was too busy "89 cars every day" was repeated to me many times. He said he would call to get me back in to complete the work (should only take 2 days, he said) That was October 12th. It is now November 25th. They have made no effort to correct this issue. My husband and I have both reached out to give them a chance to correct this issue. Still nothing. Would never recommend a company too busy to do the job right the first time! read more

I had a scratch on my truck. I went to Caliber in Lexington, SC for an estimate. I had to wait for 10 minuets for and estimator to come out. He looked at my truck and just "eyeballed" it and said $1200.00. I had to ask for a written estimate, he seemed unhappy about that. I went inside to wait. After 25 minuets, (35 minuets after I came in.) I told the woman at the counter that I couldn't wait any longer. She called back to the estimator and he said he was printing it out then. So I waited a few minuets longer and he came out with an estimate of $1500.00. Way more than the initial guess. In had to wait way too long. I had been to 4 other body shops and never waited more than 10 minuets total. What was going on with the "eyeball" guess? Was he trying to get my business? Their $1500.00 estimate was the highest of all 5 body shops that I visited. I won't go there again. read more

Our son hydroplaned into a ditch a few weeks before returning to Clemson. Four other body shops wouldn't look at the car until September but Caliber Collision talked to our wonderful local mechanic, West Main Automotive, who made the original assessment, and completed the evaluation within a week. They worked with our insurance company to quickly determine that it was totaled so that we could move on. Everything went great! They were super informative! Great place! My car was ready as promised.

Set up a day to take my truck in 5 weeks in advance. Confirmed appointment with Casey(Caliber rep)and filled out all items on line she told me to and sent info from insurance. When day came to drop truck off, they stated that since i was not there at 8AM that they could not look at it until 3 three weeks later. I asked,"why did i fill out all the paper work online then?". Casey acted as if she didnt even know I filled it out. I then asked why I could not drop my truck off as originally discussed to have the repairs done as all money items would have to go through insurance anyways. She said that a service manager has to look at the truck and go over it with me. I then stated that she knew I was not going to be the one dropping the truck off thats why i did the paperwork online as she instructed me too when I explained originally that I would not be in town and was having someone else drop the vehicle off. 5 weeks I waited to drop my truck off, filled out all the information they asked for, confirmed appointment and reiterated that someone was dropping the truck off for me. I did everything that was asked and they did nothing they promised. Would not recommend anyone wasting 5 weeks like i did counting on this company. read more

A few months into the repair and time to write this. No complaints with fitment or need for additional corrections. PERFECT THE FIRST TIME! Exceptional service from the entire Caliber team on our Mercedes GL350 repair! Wanda handled our intake efficiently and effectively. Rick, our service manager, went above-and-beyond in everything. He even opened up on a Saturday morning to get our vehicle back to us quickly (ahead of schedule) AND identified an error in the insurance estimate, handled it for us, and corrected the mistake with no down time or extra effort on our part. His attention to details and commitment to customer service is beyond compare (he cleaned the exhaust chrome for crying out loud!). It's easy to see why Caliber Collision is the recommended Mercedes Benz repair facility and Caliber of Lexington is the BEST OF THE BEST! So happy to have them in town.
