I expected my car to take a while, since they had a wait list but my repair was finished in less than 2 weeks. When it was time to pick up, my civic looked brand new. They even replaced the aftermarket door handles I had installed, the attention to detail is outstanding! I usually don't leave reviews but this place deserves it. When the trunk was inspected, it was discovered that the liftgate had not been fitted properly, causing uneven gaps and a misaligned closure. Additionally, when I picked up the vehicle after the repair, the badging on the car was incorrect. I asked the shop to replace it, but during the replacement they dented the piece, leaving two palm-sized dents visible. The exhaust pipes had also been repaired but were noticeably crooked. When I brought this up at pickup, I was told that it was "normal." Later, when the bumper was removed during further inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle had sustained frame damage that had been repaired. Despite the shop communicating weekly during the repair process, very little detailed information was provide regarding the progress of repairs from July-August 2025. After a re-inspection and evaluation of the work that had been performed, it was ultimately determined that the vehicle was a total loss and should have been declared totaled after the initial accident. Overall, due to poor workmanship and the issues discovered after the repair, I would not recommend this location.

At that time I set up an appointment for January 26, 2023 to have my car repaired (minor incident involving the rear bumper, right side); no other damage to any other body parts. I was also told it would take 4 business days to repair (replace) the rear bumper; I also paid $832.45 for parts (did not use my insurance since it would be less than $2,000). Please remember all this was done on December 19, 2022. On January 25, 2023 I dropped off, to McCarthy Collision in Olathe KS, my Rogue. On January 31, 2023 (the day I was told it would take 4 days to repair my car) I called, since I had a doctors appointment on February 1st, and was informed that McCarthy Collision did not have all the parts. The major question I have .."why wasn't I told by someone, anyone when I dropped my car off on January 25th and gave the keys to the receptionist that all the parts weren't in?" Please remember i paid for the parts on December 19th. I had to spent extra monies to rent a car to get my doctors appointment (canceling was not an option since it takes months to reschedule a doctors appointment). This is piss poor customer service. Before anyone says anything, I don't believe Covid-19 had anything to do with McCarthy not getting all of the parts in. People are to eager to blame everything on Covid. Ok, let's say not getting the parts were Covid related. That should have not stopped them (McCarthy) from calling me on the phone, or even emailing me that they did not have all the parts and not to bring the car in until they were ready to repair the car. My car was finally done on February 7, 2023. Needless to say, if I am in need of any bodywork on any vehicles I own I will not be taking them to any McCarthy Collision centers in the metro area.

I requested an oil change and tire rotation as it had been 5,000 miles since the last time I had…read morethose services performed. Automan/Autoplaza called AFTER they had performed the tire rotation and questioned my logic in performing this service multiple times. Then, he said that the tires were worn out and he just couldn't figure out why, but maybe it was out of alignment. The tires had 42,100 miles on them, and they are rated at 45,000 miles - original equipment on the 2016 vehicle. Rotation at 5,000 miles is standard and recommended by Nissan. So, a repair shop worthy of my continued business would have stopped the rotation when taking the first tire off the car, prepared a quick quote of 2-3 tire options and called me to say that they thought it needed tires and perhaps I would consider that rather than the rotation. Not this guy. Charged $45 for a tire rotation he couldn't rationalize. Was bewildered how my tires may be worn out. Suggested there was something wrong with the car, but offered no evidence to that end. Didn't bother to spec out replacement tires for me (even after I asked him to do so and gave 45 minutes before I came to pick up the car.) Services were pricey - my car takes synthetic oil, but they charged over $27 more for this service than my previous mechanic. The dealer where my wife gets her car serviced does a synthetic change including tire rotation, multipoint inspection, and fluid top-off for about the same price I was charged just for the LOF at Automan/Autoplaza. The scratches on my door will buff out, I'm pretty sure. And, I did contact through the "contact us" option on their website and have received no response.

I know someone else who has also used them multiple times for motor issues and continue to have problems after investing a lot off money into this shop. The people are friendly but seems like they aren't precise in the work they do, especially when this work is a lot of money out of pocket.
