I'm a huge fan of Indian food, and @calisocial.us absolutely delivers. Right in the heart of @pacific.beach ,it's the perfect spot for delicious food and an amazing vibe. And did I mention it's women-owned? The owner is incredibly creative and ambitious, always bringing fresh, exciting ideas to the table.

Manchow dumpling soup, korma curry and chilli oil pasta

Lovely north Indian style food. 5 out of 5 to the pasta, which is the first time I've had this authentic, buttery pasta. Soup was an intriguing manchow soup, but with dumplings instead of the usual Manchurian balls. Chicken korma was nice as well. They don't charge extra for chicken if you order at the restaurant. On DD they do. Ordered for takeout so can't comment on the ambience. Street parking available in front. Please see picture for the food

The coconut curry was delicious, we loved how attentive the workers were. They also gave us ideas on what appetizers to get. The samosas hit the spot!

Just visited this awesome new spot in Pacific Beach and had one of the best meals in a while! The watermelon salad was super refreshing -- sweet, crisp, and perfectly balanced with tangy dressing. Their sandwiches were next-level -- fresh ingredients, flavorful bread, and big enough to satisfy without feeling heavy. I also loved the naan and curry -- warm, comforting, and packed with rich spices that weren't too overpowering. It's clear the kitchen knows what they're doing. Drinks here are excellent too, especially if you're skipping alcohol -- creative non-alcoholic beverages that actually have personality and flavor (not just plain juices or sodas). Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a new favorite in PB -- can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

When we were there, the place wasn't crowded and the service was excellent. Our meal started with a shared order of the Meat Samosas. They are large and flavorful without being overly greasy. The filling is tasty and the wrapper has a satisfying crispness. We both decided on the Kheema Sali (which does not appear on the website's menu) from the Bombay Bites section. They are a new addition and one I hope becomes permanent. These are the Indian version of build-it-yourself sliders and, in both our opinions, are excellent: 2 large toasted slider buns and far more than enough filling to build more. Everything was properly prepared with the right hint of spicy and interwoven flavors that makes Indian food so good (when it's done right). I'm sure we will be back next time we are in the area around lunchtime.

It lacked flavor and was slightly soggy. For my main dish, I ordered the Goa Style Garlic Chicken. It came with rice, cabbage, and naan bread, and I upgraded to the garlic naan. The chicken was breaded and served with a spicy garlic dipping sauce, which I enjoyed (4/5). The garlic naan had a pleasant garlic flavor, though it didn't stand out too much (3/5). Service was good overall. Our server was friendly and checked on us often.

We tried the Lunch menu and ordered tandoori chicken with shrimp masala and Paneer Tikka masala with Chicken Karahi. These plates came with rice and naan. There are both vegetarian and meat options for curry. I opted for the chicken tikka masala and the chicken Karahi. My brother got two orders of the Chana masala. Portions were sizable (in fact, there's a sign on the lunch specials that specifically says "no sharing" which is odd and a bit of putting, but whatever). They ask for your desired spice level from 1-10. I got an 8 and it wasn't very spicy at all. There's seating both inside and outside, and they will bring the food out to you on a legitimate plate even though it's register service. There is self-serve water along with soft drinks. I liked the sauces that were put on the table and enjoyed the curries. The karahi was excellent and the tikka masala was decent. My brother, however, wasn't as fond of his dish. I tried a bite of his as well and agreed that the spice profile wasn't great. Naan was yummy although I prefer a doughier naan. Overall good Indian food in a cute plaza. No frills by any means but it was a tasty, affordable lunch.

I started off with an excellent adult beverage: Taj Mahal, a premium Indian beer, which was a great selection! I decided to enjoy a Samosa, chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken (see attached photos). My lunch also included a small bowl of creamy tomato soup which was delicious to the las slurp (I believe the soup was included in the Samosa order?). I decided to go with the spicy level #9 with 10 being the spiciest which proved to be the perfect choice. The food was fresh and flavorful. The Service was top notch, making us feel welcomed and appreciated! Nothing fancy about this restaurant, just great food with great service. They have a fantastic lunch special from 11:00am to 3:30pm which is an awesome value. If you haven't dined here yet You need to otherwise I promise you your'e missing out!

The good: We…read morearrived on Friday evening around 6:45. The dining room was quite busy. We waited for a few moments by the entrance, and then we were seated at a two top next to the raised tables on the carpet. We ordered samosas, Naan, Chicken Saag & Mango Chicken. Dal: We were gifted two small cups of dal (lentil soup) with fresh cilantro. It was not as flavorful as it has been in the past, so we added salt and pepper, and that brought it to life. Samosas: Delicious! They were on the smaller side, but the tamarind sauce was delightful. - $4.99 Garlic & Cilantro Naan: Great and reasonably priced - $3.99 Chicken Saag - Spice level 4 - pretty hot, very tasty. Chicken and spinach in a rich sauce. - $15.99 Mango Chicken - Spice 4 - pretty hot, slightly sweet sauce and very flavorful chicken. - $15.99 Basmati rice: fine :) Glass bottles of water were placed on the table immediately, and when we finished one, another one was brought over right away. We appreciated this! There is plenty of parking in the lot. The could-be-better: The service was rather uneven today because there were only two waiters for the whole dining room and they had to seat folks, bus tables, handle to-go orders, and wait on tables. They definitely need more staff on weekends. As a result, the service came across as a bit gruff and harried. Our table near the carpeted seating areas was a little too small for all of the dishes, and when our used dishes were not taken off of the table, it was quite crowded. Additionally, when families arrived who needed to sit at the tables on the carpet, we were surrounded by people taking their shoes off, and it felt awkward and uncomfortable for a few minutes. We were just about done with our food when the families arrived, so we left shortly afterward, but it could be a bit much if we were there longer. There should be a "please wait to be seated" sign by the front door so customers don't walk into the restaurant and stand around by the desk, and crowd the folks who are already seated in the dining room, or worse, pounce on a table that someone else is waiting for. Overall: The food here is good and reasonably priced. I will probably opt for take out more often than I dine in going forward (just to avoid the crowds), but I will be back. This restaurant feels authentic and genuine, and I like supporting family-owned businesses whenever possible. Mahalo!
