This Art Gallery is not welcoming to families. My family & I stopped in gallery Thursday July 2,…read more2015 in the afternoon. The gentlemen in the gallery, owner sales person , never got out of his chair to greet us, (2) women, (4) children Why, perhaps we were of a different color than him? When a gay couple walked in , he got right up to greet them. The owner of what ever he was suppose to be , I was showing my grandchildren this gallery. My grandson reached out to point to a statue the man looked at my grandson said don't touch, .The man, never addressed us, adults, just persistent following my grandson, I was very concerned about this man and his behavior towards my grandson, " this man continued to follow my grandson saying "what don't you understand? As my grandson walked towards me", I told the family lets go we are not welcome here !at that time, we walked out of his store/ gallery. He is a very rude, person, how would he know we didn't have a million dollars to spend. Don't take your family inside his gallery. please shop some where else, Perhaps he only caters to Caucasian people. He never addressed me, just following my grandson who iis 7 years old. Apparently he doesn't want children, young adults, 17,16'13' 7 in his gallery. He should post this signage in Front of his gallery. White rich people only NO CHILDREN ALLOWED Dennis Rae fine art, gallery. I certainly hope , he closes his gallery. He is very offensive. Am I upset of course, my children didn't need to be treated like that, they were well behaved. Walking & looking at the art work.

Aerena Galleries is a refuge from the often busy, traffic clogged Main Street of downtown St…read more Helena. There's an amazing array of pieces- from abstract art, to sculptures with oceanic themes, a giant coffee table book by Annie Liebovitz, to a stunning gigantic book of Tibetan Buddhist sacred art. The curators are friendly&approachable. What's happily surprising is that not all the art is big bucks. One can find affordable gifts that are also tasteful. They represent contemporary artists, particularly those of the Bay Area. While the St. Helena gallery is an oasis, I really should go down to the Yountville one that has a sculpture garden.

Wolk. With a fantastic collection of items largely from Bay Area artists and an open space presenting the art in an eye catching fashion I found the customer service at I. Wolk to be exemplary despite the fact that I wasn't looking to buy immediately. With a vast knowledge of the artists presented and a diverse understanding of the arts in general I can't recommend this place enough - if/when I head west next I'll be back, ideally this time with a decorating budget in mind.

There's a tour available, but we just came for the wine tasting. Our host was new, and I can't remember his name, but he was great! Attentive without being intrusive, and funny! We really enjoyed our afternoon! They had a pizza oven outside and we ordered one to go with our tastings. I felt like I wasn't in California! I like how there are different areas that have their own character. We took a short stroll near the vines, and though it was warm, it was very pleasant! With all the wineries in the area, HALL is definitely worth checking out!

The wines were excellent, but what really made the visit memorable was the tasting experience itself. Our hostess, Nashelli, was knowledgeable, fun, and very welcoming. She explained the wines in a way that was easy to understand and never made the tasting feel overly formal. She also did a great job helping people who were new to wine tasting feel comfortable, relaxed, and included. The food and snacks offered with the tasting are also worth trying. They really complement the wines and make the whole experience feel more complete. For us, this was more than just a wine tasting. It was a chance to return to a place connected to a special memory from 20 years ago, and Hall Winery gave us another great one.
