He was born in Italy and now resides in Calistoga where he creates art on his estate where he also lives. He opens his estate to the public for tours of his villa. You can walk around the grounds, which are filled with sculptures, fountains, pools, and amazing stonework. On the inside his villa is painted head to toe in murals and frescos from all types of period pieces. Absolutely beautiful and inspiring. Carlo is a very hospitable man that only wants to show you his passions. Its amazing that he can excel at some many different types of mediums. So glad I found this gem in Calistoga.

My mom has impaired hearing. Her mask came loose from her ear, and before she could put the mask back on the owner emerged from the back in an rather unpleasant, confrontational and angry tone. I had my mask on, and my mother fixed hers. About as unprofessional as we've ever seen. Needless to say, we won't be back and purchased art from another vendor. Main message here is to treat patrons with respect and kindness. We won't be back.

I have been lucky to be able to purchase a small piece from them, their customer service and process was nicely personable. For full disclosure, I knew them before, but not well. But the framed color photo of a soulful content face painted in a gorgeous shade of blue caught my eye. You can say... I made eye contact. I moved in closer to the shop window to get a better look and the next thing I knew I was walking into the gallery. The Lisa Kristine gallery. Who the heck is Lisa Kristine?! I was thinking this to myself because her photos are pieces of art. The walled photos were beautiful. Mesmerizing photos of places and people in gorgeous foreign lands. Some of the people were from indengious cultures but she captured their joy and pride. Anyway Lisa Kristine I found out is an award winning Humanitarian photographer, activist, and speaker. Her photos and photo books are shown and sold in the gallery and online. The photo books are a more affordable option vs the art photos. Another favorite photo is a black and white of aged weathered hands grasping the flow of running water from a hydraulic manual pump. Gorgeous storytelling in a moment of time photo. Step inside and get a sense of being inside the artist's studio, with fresh oils on the palette, used brushes, and a piece of artwork being created before your eyes. Then take a few minutes and get to know the artist, Brad, and his much much better half Jess. They are amazing people, warm and genuine, with an obvious zest for life and the good times. This place and these people are the personification of Sonoma Wine Country. We will never not visit when we are in town.

Carlo Marchiori is amazing...think *Hieronymus Bosch meets Italian Renaissance meets Cirque du Soleil * all with a big twist. Words can not describe it. An amazing ceiling mural graces this beautiful open gallery. Enticing you in are bizarre sculptures of *boney birds* but there is so much more.... Trompe l'oeil furniture, scarves and art Graphic plates with animals and skeletons (I said with a twist!) Loved the skeleton plate BTW! 3-D architectural models of famous structures (loved these!!) Bronze sculptures, more ceramics (very interesting plaques), paintings in Water and Acrylic... I picked up a pair of Harry Allen (famous designer) candle sticks that replicate Greek Revival style in white resin. Love them!!
