LOVE visiting this gallery each time I have been in Sonoma. The owner, Ms. Fairmont, has a keen eye for good art.

But the framed color photo of a soulful content face painted in a gorgeous shade of blue caught my eye. You can say... I made eye contact. I moved in closer to the shop window to get a better look and the next thing I knew I was walking into the gallery. The Lisa Kristine gallery. Who the heck is Lisa Kristine?! I was thinking this to myself because her photos are pieces of art. The walled photos were beautiful. Mesmerizing photos of places and people in gorgeous foreign lands. Some of the people were from indengious cultures but she captured their joy and pride. Anyway Lisa Kristine I found out is an award winning Humanitarian photographer, activist, and speaker. Her photos and photo books are shown and sold in the gallery and online. The photo books are a more affordable option vs the art photos. Another favorite photo is a black and white of aged weathered hands grasping the flow of running water from a hydraulic manual pump. Gorgeous storytelling in a moment of time photo. Step on into the gallery across from the Sonoma Plaza. Maybe something will catch your eye. #lisakristinephotojournalist #lisakristinephotogallerysonoma

I ended up purchasing the Slavery book because I wanted to support her work and the cause. They have specials around Christmas time so keep that in mind. The images she captures are very intricate and captivating so make it a point to stop by here if you're in town.

Sonoma Court Shops CA Sat 5/7/22 ©…read moreLife takes you places. Figuratively speaking and literally, too. It took me to Sonoma downtown this Saturday in May! Sonoma Court Shops is a courtyard across the street from historic Sonoma Plaza, an outdoor space full of shops, wine tasting rooms and galleries. Never knew it was there, a truly surprise find! Wine county treasure. Fountains, arches covered in greenery, retail shops, little oasis of pleasure and joy. Gastronomically satisfied belly, after delicious brunch in San Francisco, called for relaxation with a good bottle of wine. It's time for the soul. Over the Golden Gate I go! And back into yelping, after a month-long break, taken for full immersion in work. Life's been busy, my friends! That's how I do things - I dive in! With everything I have! Drove to wine country and ended up in Sonoma Court Shops walkways. It's a Vine Alley, come explore! A welcoming European detour is sure to please. You'll thank me later! I landed at Sosie tasting room. Had an amazing time. Buonissimo! Hope you're finding simple joys in everyday life. A wish ambitious enough? :-) *I love you, baby, and if it's quite all right I need you, baby, to warm these lonely nights I love you, baby Trust in me when I say I love you, baby... I love you, baby... Cheers! Missed E v e r y o n e !!! Happy Mother's Day! VINTAGE MAP/POSTER STORE - GREAT FOR GIFTS AN SF MUST SEE…read more*tip - very limited hours check beforehand Schein & Schein is a San Francisco staple. I've never been to another place like it. Walk in you'll be greeted by a quiet dog who sometimes relaxing on the sidewalk or on the bench in the store. Make sure you come with extra time because you can spend hours looking - which I do. There all types of maps from all around the world and posters of all kinds. It's hard to call it a map store, more of a manuscript store because they have drawings, pictures, old advertisements. I hope this place is there for years to come. The owners are friendly, helpful really seem to love what they do and are more than happy to help. I will be coming for that Eddy Map one day!

Have you ever wanted to travel around the world? How about…read moreexplore a city or country as it stood 100 years ago? Maybe you'd like a print of the country your ancestors hail from? Or perhaps even a print of the city you or a family member was born in, circa the year they were born? You can do all of that here. Want a treasured & priceless photo framed in museum quality materials? Ditto. We checked out old maps of SF. Before Coit Tower & after Coit Tower. And pics of the GG Bridge being built. Crazy. There's even a "library series" of scented candles. The selection is pretty astounding. Maps are organized in a drawer filing system by city &/or country, or in binders. A great place to explore the world & get lost in it. 5 stars.
