But when the proprietor caught me leaving with a little dog face poking out the door, I got an ear full from the owner. He got upset- he claimed that he has gotten sued by people who stayed there that were allergic to dogs and had a reaction. Geesh. He was gracious about it once he calmed down and let us stay though. We got a minor surcharge for cleaning, and that ended it. This place has a laundromat, an ice machine and a coke machine at the end of the motel, over by the restaurant. They had a pool that looked inviting, with a little garden growing by it. It was nice- it looks like they're growing cilantro for the restaurant. The motel offered plenty of parking, cable television, and a comfortable bed. The toiletries were adequate, but not luxurious. The room was spacious enough and seemed modern-ish. The floor of the room had a weird slant to it. Overall, it was a good value, at a good location. It's not exactly a terribly quiet motel, as you can hear the trucks racing by at all hours of the night.

Very comfortable beds and pillows with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Pro tips: You could bring stuff to cook breakfast and use the full kitchen in the main house. There aren't many breakfast options in Round Top. You can also book the chef ahead of time to cook for you! Some rooms don't have very good coverings in the windows so if privacy is important, try room 7! Great location and private. Very quiet! We never heard a thing from any other guests. There are no hangers, so if you have something to hang bring some to use with the coat hooks they provide.
