A coworker and I discovered this B&B because all of the hotels in Saskatoon were sold out. I am…read morecertainly glad we did! Each room has it's own coded lock, wifi, a tv with satellite and a dvd player as well as a great bathroom with a huge shower. You can choose to have breakfast at 7:30am, 8am or 8:30am and you get all sorts of choices. Garry makes a great omelet and waffle, but you can also get fresh fruit, a muffin, breakfast meats and more. We really felt like staying at this B&B was much better than one of the expensive area hotels. It was like coming home every day after a long day at work. The next time we are in Saskatoon, we will certainly be passing on the hotels and looking up Garry and Carolynn! Check them out at http://www.prairielandbandb.com/

I felt spoiled and thoroughly pampered. The breakfast was so very good that I had to stop myself from ordering pancakes, waffles and eggs Benny every morning. Garry took great care in preparing the breakfast which was served early in the morning. You can order as much as you want by filling a card the evening before. I had the pleasure to be at the B&B with other nice guests so I had pleasurable morning conversation before I headed to work. I could have been utterly miserable bivouacked in the place but I felt totally at home. My room was just the right size and the bathroom had lots of little amenities and toiletries that made me feel as if I was staying with my relatives. The rate here is very reasonable and Garry and his wife were so accomodating even sharing their cards when I needed to post mail. This place almost makes me want to visit Saskatoon again. Almost.

I need to share a serious and alarming experience I recently had at a hotel I once trusted. What I…read morewent through cannot be ignored, and that's why I'm writing this letter: to warn others and ensure no one has to go through the same nightmare. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, always relying on its quality and service. However, this time, the situation was completely different. The cleanliness was in an absolutely deplorable state. Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed there were only a small number of towels--just a couple, when there should have been more. The room also had only one toilet paper roll, and there was nothing else. There was no shampoo, no conditioner, and to make matters worse, the conditioner bottle was broken and useless. This wasn't just a minor oversight -- this was a blatant disregard for guest welfare. The level of hygiene and care had completely collapsed, and as a result, the hotel became a breeding ground for something much worse. During my stay, I was severely attacked by bed bugs. At first, I thought they were mosquito bites, which could be understandable in warmer seasons. But the situation struck me as odd, especially since we were in the middle of winter, with temperatures close to -20°C. When the symptoms worsened, I realized something was terribly wrong. The incessant itching, the swelling on my face, and the fever led me to seek medical attention immediately after returning home. It was then that, to my horror, it was confirmed that these were indeed bed bug bites. What was meant to be a peaceful trip turned into a full-blown nightmare. Beyond the physical impact, the experience resulted in unexpected costs. I had to spend on doctor's visits and medications to treat the allergic reactions, not to mention laundering all my belongings to ensure I didn't bring the parasites back home. The emotional toll was significant as well. Coming back from a trip that should have been restful, only to find myself sick and drained, is something no one should have to go through. And what's even worse: this was not an isolated incident. As a frequent guest and a Diamond member, I always opted for higher-quality rooms, expecting service that matched the price. Instead, what I encountered was neglect on every level. The situation has spiraled out of control, and this hotel should be held accountable. It doesn't matter how much you pay -- all guests deserve the same standard of service, and at the very least, basic hygiene and safety should be guaranteed. I'm writing this letter to alert everyone considering staying at this hotel. Negligence in cleanliness can result in serious health risks, not just for guests, but for anyone who unknowingly carries the parasites back to their homes. This is not a minor issue -- it's something that demands attention, and it cannot be brushed off. The disregard for cleanliness isn't just an oversight; it's a direct threat to the safety and well-being of guests. I'm sharing this because I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through. This is not a baseless complaint -- it's a warning about a serious problem that can affect anyone's health and comfort. A hotel has one fundamental responsibility: to provide a clean and safe environment. If a hotel fails at this, it doesn't deserve the trust of its guests. Before booking your next stay, please take a moment to think carefully. Cleanliness is not a luxury -- it is a basic necessity. Don't let a hotel's lack of care turn your trip into a nightmare, as it did for me. No one deserves to return from a trip healthy and leave sick, and that's the reality I'm trying to prevent by sharing my story.

The rooms are way nicer than I expected and the bed comfy. The free breakfast I only tried the coffee but I did not see any to go options which would have been nice. I like the sliding glass doors on the ground floor. Park outside and it's easy to get to your car for loading luggage ect. The free Wi Fi worked well and the staff was pleasant. I don't think you will find a better value in Saskatoon and I will stay again I am sure

First off, I would like to point out some of the good things about Netty's Nest. This place is…read moreconveniently located and is a short walk from downtown. It is also easily accessible and is not hard to find. The staff is nice and friendly. In my experience, I had no major problems and everything went as planned. The place is also clean. However, there are many things to improve. I can't say that there is an abundance of alternatives in Saskatoon, but I will tell it like it is in hope that the business improves. Wi-fi. There is a 500 MB / 5 devices cap during 48 hours. This in and of itself is a problem, even if you don't use internet it all. It does not feel good to be subject to unduly restrictions. If there is a genuine problem with internet bandwidth that for some reason can't be resolved at the moment, it is much more service friendly to restrict the speed of the internet and not the data plan. I did not plan to download anything major, but after a few Skype calls and browsing I still ran out of data in about 10 hours. Parking. There is a hidden $5 charge for parking that will be announced the moment you pay for the room. I did not feel that this was an in-demand area in terms of parking and it seemed to me that the street right nearby had free street parking. They only have parking stalls out in the back and the stalls are small. My car is 4.94 m long and her back was protruding out of the parking spot. It was amusing to see them giving out a "parking pass" you have to put on the dashboard considering that they only have about 5 stalls. Take your shoes off. They have carpets everywhere and signs telling you to take your shoes off. Not only this is inconvenient for the customer, but it also makes area hard to clean for the staff. Shared bathrooms/kitchen. I saw the website before and I was not aware that they are shared. Nothing impressive there. No 24 HR/service. Self-explanatory. Not beautiful. The rooms are not nice. They bought all the necessary stuff to mark off their checklists, but the way it is put together just lacks style and the sense of completeness. TV. They have a decent-sized TV with lots of channels. I felt this was excessive considering that they don't offer basic things like unlimited internet. Value for money. I felt that the value for money is very low.
