I love my dentist here (Dr. Vincent Calamia). Him and his staff provide excellent service and quality dentistry. everything is explained options are always given, and there are no pressures for any treatment. The only con I would say about the office is that the waiting area is very small, but this really isn't an issue if you arrive on time and that there is no delay from prior patients. it's pretty typical for New York sized offices, I would say so, not too much of a con. I've never had to wait longer than five minutes for my appointment. scheduling is really easy, and the give great reminders in advance. They had great protective gear during the pandemic, and took the extra effort to keep patient safe. I doing as much research as possible, given a very unknown disease. Dr. Vincent actually went and took the extra effort to get an additional suction and vacuum unit to keep patients and staff safe. Highly highly recommend. read more

This review is a little premature as I have only had one appointment, but so far so good! This practice was recommended to me by a coworker whom has been a patient for a while and has recommended the practice to other coworkers who are now patients. Some unique aspects of the practice is they offer Saturday hours, which is something I really appreciate. So I come from a dental background and have always been treated like a king, so after moving away, I was very wary of going to a new dentist, and I think I have finally found a new throne. Dr. Christine Calamia, is literally one of the best. I have to travel for work, and she accommodated a bunch of procedures into three appointments, and worked with me to make sure everything got done before I had to leave. This place is a gem. Christine and her brother followed in their parents' footsteps to become dentists, so their knowledge and passion run deep! My previous dentist mainly did cleanings and light things, and advised I'd need to have a tooth removed and get a bridge, blah blah blah - I thought that was too aggressive a route and when I changed companies, looked at dentists with high ratings and this place delivered. Christine is about working with what you have instead of just removing and replacing (which could be more profitable), but they care! I actually enjoy my visits, though I dreaded going as I thought I'd need a ton of work done. Also I had an emergency during Covid and she was able to direct me to one of her dental school classmates, and he did good work on my very first root canal - I felt nothing! Everyone here is so pleasant and helpful from the administrative assistants to the dentist. Dr. Vincent is relaxed and gets you in and out quickly. I started coming here years ago when they were across the street from my work and have stayed for years as my regular dentist. X-rays usually once a year or so and that's also quick and efficient process. I typically come in early in the morning and don't experience a wait, but have come later in the day and had a wait - nothing out of the ordinary. Highly recommend! :) read more

I learned of Calamia Dental Group through word of mouth :D and I've gone on to recommend the practice to several friends and colleagues. (How often do you hear rave about their dentist?) Every visit with Dr. Calamia (senior and junior) has been about as delightful as a dentist's visit can be. The office is impeccably clean, the dentists are patient and gentle, and always willing to answer my 47,000 questions. The former receptionist was so nice sometimes that the office seemed like a good place to call on a rainy day. The new receptionist seems equally kind and competent. Dr Christine did a root canal and great job on a difficult filling which hopefully will keep this key tooth going for a while. She is always very pleasant. I do not love the dentist, but Dr C has made this such a pleasurable experience. .and I've had to have some tough work done. I see Dr. Vincent Calamia. The dentist is usually a dreaded experience but his office makes it a breeze, from the front desk to the chair. There is usually a 15-20min wait time but nothing out of the ordinary in NYC. He is very pleasant as is his staff.
