The Coffee Lodge is an upscale coffee lunch and pastry shop in downtown Plymouth. I stopped by for…read morea smoothie, but there were no sugar-free smoothies so I opted for a savory scone. There were a number of pastry options that are made in house or at their sister location. The clerks are friendly and helpful. The dining room is comfy with tables suitable for working. The roasted tomato and cheese scone was delicious and filling. It was served warm on a real plate. They sell fresh breads (reasonably priced), pastries, oils, locally roasted coffee and other coffee related items. The bread looked really good and I was kicking myself for not picking up a loaf. Parking is tight around the building, but available during my visit. I definitely stop back by and try a lunch sandwich.

Terrible service, I have lived in Plymouth for 6 years. I tried this place once several years ago…read more The service and food were not good at all. So I decided to give it a second chance. I went in and waited in line. When it was my turn a gentleman walked in behind me. He stood very close, breathing heavily. The owner completely ignored me and took his order. I have never been completely disrespected like that by a business owner. I walked out and will never give this business another chance. If you cant show a paying customer the respect they deserve. You don't deserve to be in business at all. There are many options for way better coffee and donuts in Plymouth. But if bad service is your thing, this place is for you. Infact, it will probably be your favorite because their service is by far among the worse anywhere.

She said, "please let me know if I can help you with anything." I went on to tell her I was wanting something "fallish". She started naming off a bunch of syrups that had a fall taste. She mentioned doing it in an ice latte and explained how that is made-knowledgeable and very friendly. Now let's talk about that latte. It was absolutely fabulous. Let me tell you what the concoction was. One pump of maple one pump PSL and swap out the milk for half-and-half in the latte. Just enough sweetness, but not too sweet. It was coffee done, right! Smooth! I love the ambience of this place. If I lived in this town, I would probably be going every day. Unfortunately, I live two hours away. The pumpkin cinnamon roll was out of this world! I'm telling you they just do everything right here. Give them a try if you're anywhere in the area you won't be disappointed.

I was with my youngest and made a purchase through the express checkout. One item was a box of chips (that was way overpriced). It was too big to put in a bag so I clicked on "skip bagging" and put it back in my cart, paid, and left. I even exchanged pleasantries with the manager/supervisor on duty. As I get to my car, a young employee comes up to me and says her manager wanted her to check and make sure I didn't walk out with two boxes. Seriously?! I kept my calm and showed the receipt and as she tried to look in my car I told her I haven't put anything in my car yet. I have NEVER given the employees there any reason to think I've stolen anything and I'm usually in there weekly. This is not the first time I have felt targeted but I tried to brush it off. Now I know it's clear that I am not wanted in the store due to my skin color. Do better Martins!

WHYYY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE TO BE IN INDIANA??…read more We live in Minnesota. We were on a trip when I saw a billboard for this place. I was hungry for something not greasy fast food, and was drawn to the idea of snagging a deli sandwich while here. I did not expect the sheer incredible variety of food goods available here. Every aisle we browsed was like an exclamation of pointing and going "ooh!" I wanted to buy SO MUCH absolutely delicious looking stuff (especially the fruit-topped cheesecakes, pastries, and cookies... drool), as well as the various ingredients and spices and sauces and pickled veg. They had a huge pop-it-yourself popcorn selection, for example. Tons of pasta shapes. Even milk of many flavors in reusable glass (if only the world could go back to that sustainable model!). The worst part is, I only got a couple things, fully intending to stop again on our way back to Minnesota. But we left for home Sunday, when it wasn't open. It was a foolish error on my part indeed, one which I will likely never live down (until we come back out this way, and you can bet your ass I'll drop at least a hundo in here, maybe two!). The sandwich, which I did get, was quite large and I ate half then, half later. It was cool and yummy, and I appreciated the many options of bread and meats to choose from. I also grabbed a fancy bottled soda. They have an indoor seating area so you can munch inside, or there's tons of outdoor seating as well, because they have lots of their pieces on display for you to custom order! I legit wanted to buy one of their loveseat swings (complete with a fold-out cupholder in the center). They had a lot of color options available, many quite vibrant! Besides many varieties of furniture (made of reclaimed plastics in tons of fun colors), they also sell whole-ass sheds and barns and stuff. Genuinely cool. I can't lie, I'm pretty tempted to somehow get one of their loveseat style porch swings (they even come with a fold-down cupholder). Fun decor on the inside like taxidermy, with a high ceiling and wall art. The bathroom is in the back (it was a bit difficult for me to locate at first) and was clean. All the employees were friendly and helpful. I'd probably shop here weekly if I lived nearby, so it's a real shame it's nearly nine hours away!
