Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment - each bite was a waste of calories. The cake was moist, and that's the only good thing I can say about our experience. They raised the price, they have limited sugar free pies, the place is more cluttered and dusty as time goes, the bathrooms faucet has been jacked up for some time. There just…read morearen't enough pie places in California, and even pie chains like Marie Callenders are dying out. Gooseberry's storefront is in a pretty unassuming strip mall near the Bentonville USPS/Osage Park. It's not a sit-down place by any means, so prepare to get your pies to go. They not only have a case with fresh whole pies and mini pies, but also have a freezer with frozen savory pies. I ended up getting three mini pies--coconut cream, French silk, and banana pudding (not technically a pie but is sort of pie adjacent?). I think they set me back around $30; clearly they are not cheap, but I'd rather pay a little extra $$ for a quality treat. Many thanks to the nice guy at the counter for all the recommendations! My ranking: 1. French silk -- I am a sucker for chocolate cream pies and this one was great. The chocolate cream was rich but not too sweet. The crust to filling ratio was great and was clearly a quality, all-butter crust (I can immediately clock a crust that is cut with shortening like Crisco). 2. Banana pudding-- Solid, standard banana pudding. I know the bar is low, but I was relieved that it tasted like actual real banana, and not like banana runts/jello pudding. 3. Coconut cream -- This wasn't a bad pie by any means, but I didn't like the stringy bits of coconut in the custard, which I also found too sweet. I think toasted coconut sprinkled on the surface would've been the way to go. I wish I had gotten to try a quintessentially Arkansas pie like possum pie that day, so I would recommend calling ahead of time to get a sense of what's available/the rotating menu of the week. You can also pre-order a whole pie of your choosing, but it's just me over here and ordering a whole pie would be $$$ and dangerous. That being said, highly recommend!

The savory jalapeño scones with sausage gravy (have to ask for it) were incredible! Perfectly seasoned. The lemon blueberry scone was sweet crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. However. I found a hair in my jalapeño scone. A long one. They took it back and immediately apologized and gave me a free time, the cherry cheesecake which I took to go. When I took two bites I looked down and saw another hair. In the cheesecake. Not sure what's going on with how they're making people address their proper kitchen attire but two hairs in two items in the same purchase.... I lost my appetite after this and am now not wanting to go back.....

I saw it as a deal and the reviews were high. It was an absolute disappointment. No variety in the box all were cake pops maybe 9?. And not even different flavors! The worst part, they were disgusting, no flavor, and tasted like raw bread mix. Even raw cookie dough tastes immensely better than this. It all ended up in the trash. Will never return to this store or fall for this "surprise bag" which they advertise as a mix of "cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc" Ans here I got disgusting inedible cake pops. I couldn't even give it away it was that bad! Waste of $10 and can't believe they called this box even worth $30! Shame on you baked by Kori by knowing this isn't selling cause it's trash and then putting it in a box to sell on TooGood ToGo! What a scam
