I wish I could be the next 5 star review, but unfortunately, we did not enjoy the cake we received…read more My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and I was wanting to get our wedding cake flavor replicated. After searching around, I decided to go with Frosted By Jess. I asked for a small chocolate cake with a strawberry chocolate mousse filling, cream cheese icing on the outside, with a chocolate drizzle, and chocolate covered strawberries. Jess was quick to respond and said she could handle. I picked up on the time as promised, and that evening, we cut into the cake. I was surprised to see all icing as a filling. The cream cheese icing had a very butter forward flavor, so much I couldn't tell it was cream cheese. My husband couldn't tell either, he said it was missing the tang that you normally get with a cream cheese icing. I did reach out to Jess with my disappointment. She did apologize, claims the mousse was there, but also mentioned mousse fillings were not something she was used to. I wish that had been communicated with me so that I could have been informed in order to make a decision on a baker I felt was appropriate that could actually handle the job. Instead, we ended up with a cake that I do not feel like I got what I asked or paid for. It ended up being a very expensive small slice of cake because it was one slice and done.
