DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES AT END OF THIS QUOTATION: "It is your prerogative to review our company as you see fit, however I hope when you do tell friends and customers that you would not recommend our company that you also state that you did not return the product to us to allow us analyse the cake, which I am sure most people would expect a company to ask especially with it being a custom made food product others you would not be telling the full story." (Excuse the obvious typo, not mine). Sincerely, Cake in a Box Customer Care (maybe should rethink the second word here) I feel I have a moral obligation to prevent future disappointment: Make your own mind up people, I had similar experience with previous review on collapsing cake, I was blamed for its demise?
If you do decide to order, please safeguard yourself: Have delivered to the venue within 3 or 4 hours of your party, outside this it will not be the responsibility of Cake in a box, what ever you do don't get it 24 hours before it may or may not last!
Ensure the room that the cake is held in room temperature, ensure you check what that exactly is. Ensure you remove packaging and check the cake before the delivery driver leaves the cake, they may say its too warm or cold or you moved it, and it experienced an impact! If you follow this I am sure that you will have an enjoyable cake, I wouldn't know as mine was un edible, it crumbled, and the hotel head chef stated it should be destroyed ( I am not a chef, but the fact that the hotel manager personally went to LIDL for an alternative, which was enjoyed by all party members, says so much for me).
I ordered through recommendation, that person will now no longer use as a result of the experience I have had :( I don't agree with bad mouthing, I think each person should be aware so that forearmed is forewarned, good luck you potential party people, ensure it's a good one.
I would like to confirm I did have the cake delivered to my parents address 24 hours prior to event - mainly to make sure it was what I ordered, must follow gut in future. I did transport to the venue, it wasn't checked before leaving the table where it was placed upon delivery
Under any circumstances do not allow the head chef or the manager vouch for you and throw away any evidence, my fault I believe in moral standards....again my mistake. The cake didn't under any circumstances receive a trauma, I did take care of it, as it was my ultimate pride and joy cake, I was the happiest customer ever - Hey ho, good luck people! read more
