They really make the entire experience fun and make you fell welcome and at ease whether you are a complete beginner or you are a seasoned pro. They also make sure that even if you come alone that you feel included and a part of the class community. I love that they have a huge variety of classes and have options for individuals, families, kids and couples. There really is something for everyone! Their instructors have everything set up and ready for you to get started on your masterpiece. Paints, brushes, an apron, water and any other supplies you might need to get started. And, if you are missing anything or need more colors, the staff is quick to help. Many of the paintings even have an outline of what the work is to help you (which I really love as someone who is chronically bad at drawing). The instructor takes you step by step demonstrating the technique, color etc. They really take their time and answer question so no one feels left behind. If you are looking for a fun and different activity that won't break the bank. this is a perfect option.

The teachers get you started, go over some technique, then check on you and help as needed. The owners are really kind and want to get to know their customers. Such a great date night, family activity, or girls night. Paint Monkey was a staple for my boyfriend and I when we lived in Pittsburgh! Will definitely be reserving a class next time I'm in town!

If you're coming to Pittsburgh this is an exceptionally great hotel to stay at. Located on premium…read morereal estate along the Monongahela River at The Waterfront (genius refurbishment of an old Steel Mill into dynamite shopping/dining/entertainment.) Plenty of parking. Outstanding staff around the clock. Was greeted warmly, given a fantastic room, and every employee was warm, friendly and helpful. Pittsburgh spirit is awesome. The room was immaculate, spacious, had a balcony and a beautiful view of the river/landscape. Everything worked and I slept like a baby the bed/bedding was so comfortable. Downstairs off the lobby is a spacious area with a giant TV, fireplace and nice setup for business center needs. Another area boasts a Bistro (separate review) for a quick bite or cocktail before retiring. Everything is very well done, super convenient, incredible location and reasonably priced considering!

The rooms and common areas are reasonably clean. Sadly, our first room had a toilet problem and the water kept running. I called the desk to have maintenance come up and fix it. But their maintenance does not work evenings and they have no one on call. We ended up having to change rooms at 11:00 at night. The hotel also appears to be having water pressure issues. On both mornings of our stay, the water fluctuated significantly while taking a shower. I am a frequent business traveler, and I was disappointed.

Wonderful, comfortable stay. This out-of-towner was warmly welcomed by the friendly faces of an…read moreenthusiastic staff. On top of that: a clean room, good coffee, privacy, smooth and large elevators, extra toilet paper, free toothbrushes and an unforgettable view of the Monongahela; this Flatbottom felt right at home (or right on vacation ;) haha)! Now, let's get to the meat and potatoes of this review... or should I say the eggs and bacon ;)! If there's one thing that excites me about an overnight hotel excursion, it is undoubtedly the continental breakfast... and boy have I been thinking about this meal since the trip was first conjured up. The aroma of a steaming tray of bacon had my mouth watering the second I stepped out of the elevator and caught a whiff. Once the spread was in view, I was utterly impressed. Scrambled eggs, small boxes of assorted cereal, fruit, muffins and two types of waffle batter with all the fixins'. WOW!!! "Sweeten me up!" I muttered to myself, as the syrup drizzled onto my fluffy waffle atop the chocolate chips and nuts. Yes, this continental left me satisfied, but I didn't stop there, I couldn't help myself! On the way out, I piled some bacon on top of a toasted bagel to-go, as there was a long road trip ahead. The Gene Bean needs his nourishment! On our way back up to the room to pack up, another guest noted my car ride treat and I overheard him to his pal, "Hey that guy has bacon on a bagel!" I was delighted by his enthusiasm and his excitement was shared. A high 5 would have been nice, but his sights were already set on the beautiful breakfast spread. This continental was the icing on the cake of this tremendous visit. In closing, the Hampton Inn provided a comfortable and relaxing stay. Just like Forest Gump said, "Continentals are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!" and as I say (yes you can quote me on this) "Continentals are what you make of them, so stack that bacon high!"

From the weird door knobs that you need to twist up to open to dirty rooms not to mention unprofessional staff. Hot breakfast they say is included but nothing is ready at 6 am.
