Dr. Bhakta and her dental hygienist are great here. They are so throughout and actually go through the teaching/ patient education - I love that about them. Dr. Bhakta takes the time to get to know you and shows a genuine interest in your life, whether she is or not I don't know but she sure knows how to make you feel that way and that's more than I can ask for! One of the best dentists I have ever been to. In addition to all that, there is rarely a wait here! If you're scheduled at a certain time and get there 5-10 minutes early you will get in for your appointment on time most days. I definitely recommend this office. read more

I have been coming here since they opened. I switched from Gentle Dental after they pulled the wrong tooth on my daughter! Luckily it was a baby tooth but moral of the story-stay clear of them. If you are looking for a new Dental office look no further, this one is as good as it gets. I've been going here for over a year now and each time I visit I'm greeted by friendly staff, and got excellent service. In my most recent visit I came here to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. I had a few concerns about the whole thing and their staff was more that helpful by answering all my questions and concerns. When it came to it, the procedure itself wasn't too bad. The whole time they were working on my teeth I was staring up at the monitor watching Modern Family which was streaming from Hulu Plus. Having access to entertainment while getting my teeth done, how can I complain? I felt so calm and relaxed, time fIew by so fast and by the time I knew it, I was done. Overall I would recommend trying this place out. Dr. Bakhta was always more than helpful, the staff was great always able to work around my busy schedule, and the location is in one of the nicest parts of Corona. What more can you ask for? In siting down to write this review, I'm slightly torn. On one hand, perhaps I'm being too quick to judge -- while on the other, I worry that I'm not being harsh enough. Ultimately, the prettiness of the office and wide-screen monitors to show me the "cavities" on my teeth just couldn't make up for what I perceived to be overly zealous selling of dental work. For some background: I'm 38, and up until very recently, my teeth have been a great source of pride. I've always had very good teeth; and I look after them. A few years ago at another dentist (not Cajalco Dental), I managed to chip a tooth flossing (yeah, seriously), and needed an onlay. After that chip, another tooth had a small cavity and was filled (but the filling caused other issues and another onlay was put on subsequent to the filling). A third tooth needed another onlay (which was due to a small cavity in an awkward location). I had thought I was done with silly teeth issues for a while... A few months ago, I changed dental offices after an issue I had at the previous place (see my review for South Corona Dental). My wife made an appointment for August, 2013, and came home with a laundry list of treatments that "had to be done". I was skeptical, but a few months later, I too was seen at Cajalco Dental. From no cavities for 35 years (and an admittedly string of bad luck starting with a chipped tooth), suddenly in the span of 10 months since my last exam and cleaning, I have *THREE* cavities -- all of them between my teeth. Also, fully erupted wisdom teeth (that were stained from childhood antibiotics) were suddenly, "decalcifying" and needed "immediate" care. Uh, yeah. Additionally, I apparently needed an expensive fluoride mouth-wash, deep cleaning to my (their words) "absolutely perfect gums", and a total of five fillings. Now, the mouthwash is literally mouth-wash.. It was $28 or so after my insurance paid a portion... For mouthwash... The deep-cleaning was quoted at $88 (after insurance) because "one tooth's gums bled when we poked it [with a needle like instrument]". Yet, on the paperwork, deep cleaning for one tooth suddenly because deep cleaning for 4+ teeth. The dentist, without the benefit of any mirrors so I could see what she was touching, touched my teeth with a poker while explaining which teeth needed to be fixed. I could *kinda* feel which tooth she was poking. Seriously, she touched a tooth and said, "this one, not this one [touching another tooth]".. When I didn't understand something, she walked off in a huff, saying, that the finance person will explain it all to me. Later, I realized I didn't get a print-out of the proposed work and contacted them. I was told that they would call me back in 5-10 minutes. The call never came. What struck me as interesting was the workers kept referring to her as "very conservative in treatment". Now, in plain language that would probably mean something similar to, "let's be conservative in what we do and wait-and-see what happens in 6 months". In this case, she's conservative in a, "Well, there's a possible cavity, let's not even double-check it, we'll just go ahead and fill it -- just to be safe." That's not conservative, that's just insane. I'm off to find another dentist... Hopefully the next one won't be so conservative... On the plus side, they did ask about my wife a lot. I think every single person there asked how she was doing. So, there's that... read more

Unless you are jobless or work the night shift I would not recommend this business. Imagine being in the service industry and having the cockiness to only be open 9-5 and 1 Saturday a month! They want you to take a day off to go to the dentist. Even if you are lucky enough to get one of the Saturday appointments they will call and harass you endlessly to try to get you to change it as it gets closer so they can relax and take the weekend off. Their service is ok. They have questionable assessments of potential cavities which are not verified by other dentists if you go elsewhere for a second opinion. They have TVs to watch while you get expensive work done on your "cavities" so i guess that's a plus. I won't be continuing service with them because me and my wife would have to quit our jobs to get an appointment. read more

I looked up the top dentist in the South Corona area using Yelp and Cajalco Dental was on the list. I had fallen and chipped a front tooth and needed to see a dentist urgently to save people from my hideous smile. I booked an appointment for the sameday and went it. The staff was very nice and polite, the office was impressive and I been given some paper work to complete which took a matter of minutes. I was invited in to the operating room, The staff took pictures of the damage and Dr. Bhakta came in about 15 - 25 minutes later with a great attitude and guided me through the process. She suggested that as a long term solution I should get a root canal but I insisted that I would simply like a cap. She complied with my request and did no pressure me with a "do or die" upsell. During the procedure I was watching Shark Tank and enjoyed this luxury. Dr. Bhakta even stayed later than usual to do the best job possible and to my satifaction. I had an awesome experience at Cajalco Dental! To Yelpers: As a consumer, you should walk in knowing how much certain procedures cost and if you get a deal that matches the market rate you should sign up. I went in knowing how much caps cost on average and the difference was $40 - which I paid happily given a great dentist, beautiful office and friendly staff. read more

Love this place, never thought I'd say that about a dental office. Entire staff is always respectful, courteous, and in good spirits. Dr. Chang is the best! Explains everything clearly beforehand and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the procedures. He truly cares about the well being of his patients. Ive been going here for 3 years and I was skeptical going into a pl@ce that was inside a shopping center, well when I walked in and was greeted with such warmth, I couldn't believe it , I thought okay nice but lets see the dentist. She came in introduced herself and wanted to hear about me, and my concerns, and what I was looking for in a dentist. I was flabbergasted. Her bedside manner was nothing I've seen in years. She catered to me, and im so bless to call dr Bhatkja my dentist and now dr chang has joinef her and he's just as wonderful. I switched to Cajalco Dental a few years ago after having gone to the other one near Eagle Glen for years. The staff is great, and I never leave feeling like I've just been at a used car lot, where someone is trying to talk me into a lot of expensive, needless procedures. I had a discoloration on my front tooth from a very old procedure that the other place told me would be thousands of dollars to fix, and Cajalco Dental figured out a fix for a couple hundred dollars. The office is nice, clean, & high tech, but I will never go back. Cindy was argumentative over whether or not they accepted my insurance. She repeatedly told me and my husband that they no longer accepted it. Our insurance company said they did. This caused a delay in getting appointments for our children. I took my 3 children there for exams & cleanings. I was told the first child had 3 cavities, my second child had 5 cavities and one of which MAY require a root canal. The dentist would not know until she "got in there." However, they do not do root canals at that office. My third child was told that he had several cavities as well as the same thing regarding a "possible root canal." We made appointments to begin the children's dental work only to be told on the day of the first appointment that they did not take our insurance. Again, another argument with Cindy. She said they would "make an exception" for us that one time only. I cancelled all appointments with them after that. I called our insurance company and they assured us that Cajalco Dental was our office and they had a contract with them and they did in fact accept our insurance. I switched dental offices to a place that could get us in right away. Cajalco was difficult to schedule appointments with especially if you are coming in for an exam or need an evening appointment, Saturdays are booked for months at a time. My 3 children received exams and 2 of the 3 were told that they had "no cavities." My second child was getting a soft spot which required a sealant to prevent a cavity from starting. This was the same tooth that Cajalco said "may need a root canal." Only my third child had the same diagnosis, minus anything about a root canal, as what Cajalco had said. Therefore, Cajalco was going to drill on 8 teeth and charge for dental work that was unnecessary. If you do go to Cajalco, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before beginning any treatment. You may also want to get a letter from your insurance company so that Cindy will not waste your time arguing with you. I will be contacting the insurance company as well as filing a complaint against the dental office for trying to do unnecessary dental work. read more

I have been going here for a couple years, as many others have stated the office is very beautiful. I liked the moderness with the TVs and such. They certainly have the appearance of being very friendly and have their stuff together. Also I have nothing bad to say about the dentral treatment I had received there over the past several years. Never an issue, nor had any complaints (except billing see below) that is why this is 2 stars and not 1. Now to the bad, they recently notified me that they cancelled my insurance. I have had the same insurance for about 15 years. I went to choose another dentist and pages and pages of Corona dentists at my providers website take my plan. My previous dentist never charged me for fillings or deep cleanings, so when I started to come to Cajalco Dental I was surprised to see co-pays for these services. After speaking to my insurance it turns out these services are included but the people at Cajalco dont like to tell you that. They find different codes for optional things like "irrigation" but never tell you upfront that its optional. So I started questioning on them about the fees last year and passed on the "irrigation" (which is nothing more than mouthwash in a seringe) so I could come in and out with nothing out of pocket. Then this year they stop taking my insurance, coincidence? I think not Beware they want your $$! Know your plan before you head in, they certainly will find a way to gouge you. read more

Dr bhaktas office was able to fit me in for an emergency visit since I had a toothache. The staff up front was super nice since it was my very first visit. My appointment was at 2pm, but I got there around 1:15pm. Finished my paperwork and I was talking to the dentist by 140pm. Appreciated that! As I sat in the chair, I noticed the AMAZING office equipment. My last dentist's office looked like the slums compared to Cajalco Dental. I was most impressed by the LED TV in front of the chair. The dental assistant was very nice in doing my full-mouth x-rays. As soon as she finished, she pulled them up digitally onto the TV for Dr bhakta to see. The dentist was über friendly and explained everything that she saw on the screen, while pointing it out on my teeth with --get this-- a camera! That way, not only was I able to see my x-rays as she broke down what I was looking at, she showed me my actual tooth and what the cavity looked like to the naked eye. AWESOME!!!! I'd never even heard of that! Turns out, my toothache was due to teeth grinding and clenching at night. I did have some cavities though. I got a cleaning, and she explained everything she was doing. She even asked me if I wanted to watch TV while she was cleaning!! What more could I ask for? I've never seen a dental office with such high-end equipment. If you're looking for a new dentist, look no further! Added bonus: it's right across From BJ's restaurant! Very convenient. read more

I have been going to Dr. Bhakta for a year and I'm really pleased with her work. The doctor thoroughly explains your current dental condition and if you need work then she goes over all the available options. The doctor discusses with you the pros and cons for each option/procedure. She answers all your questions and does not make you feel intimidated. The staff goes over the pricing, insurance coverage and/or payment options. I never felt pressured to choose one treatment over the other. Dr. Bhakta has a really soft touch, which is great for those that are sensitive to pain. The dental staff is really friendly as well. The dental equipment in the office is all state of the art and they also have an LCD monitor so you can watch a show while you wait or during your procedure. read more

It had been ages since I have had my dentist visit and called up Dr Bhakta's office - they worked with some of my constraints of travel and accommodated for Monday morning. The office is exceptionally clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, treatment rooms very well maintained, clean and state of the art. Dr Bhakta is an incredibly caring, knowledgeable and exceptionally talented doctor. Dr Bhakta and her staff were very professional and all along the treatment, kept a keen eye for sign/feedback for any discomfort and quickly adjusted for my needs and comfort. Dr Bhakta asked at regular intervals, if my jaw was tired and if I needed rest or if there was any pinch or discomfort and all along explained what she was doing next and how far along she was and treated me as a true partner in the treatment. I was referred by a friend who has been going there for years and I have to say..I Hate going to the dentist. These guys totally changed my opinion about it. Katie works up front and she is super sweet and helpful. She gave me all the facts I needed on treatments, my insurance, etc. Brenda was my dental hygienist and she was also super sweet, gentle and reassuring. I saw Dr. Change and again was pleasantly surprised. He was gentle, very attentive, explained what he was doing and what certain things meant so that I could understand. My teeth were very sensitive going in. And then I noticed My filing came out so I had to rush in - they were able to schedule me in the next morning! I also had my 7 month baby with me and the girls were so friendly they helped to watch him for a couple of min. I got my filing done plus some more. I was so amazed at how quick and painless the work was done. Not sure if that's good or bad but I guess all in all everything worked out. My teeth still feel a little sensitive even though I've been using the new tooth paste but I'm still waiting on that to kick in so I can feel better. read more
