The waiting area was spotless and comfortable, and the service was both fast and thorough. What really impressed me was their honesty and professionalism. In the end, I paid a whole lot less than I expected. Great customer service, great communication, and an overall great experience. I highly recommend them!

1 Star -- Would Not Recommend…read more Our experience with Mr. Transmission on Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville has been incredibly disappointing. We were initially quoted $3,600 for a transmission repair. After the work was supposedly completed, we were told they had forgotten to include labor and another item, increasing the quote to $4,500. I specifically asked the owner, Damien, whether that was the out-the-door price. We ultimately paid nearly $5,700. Later, the transmission shudder returned while our 36-month, unlimited-mileage transmission warranty was still in effect. We brought the van back specifically for transmission warranty service. Instead of addressing the transmission issue, Damien insisted on focusing on an engine misfire that another shop was already handling. I repeatedly explained that we wanted the transmission diagnosed and repaired under warranty, but he refused and would not provide the transmission codes I requested. He told me, "As far as you're concerned I am your warranty now," and instructed us to remove the van from his property. We then had to pay another $167 before a tow truck could take our van. The shop says this was for diagnosing the engine misfire, which we had not requested. We dispute the charge because our requested transmission diagnosis was not provided. The communication was dismissive and condescending, and I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. I have years of automotive experience and simply wanted the work covered by the warranty we had paid for. A family member also experienced a substantial increase between the original quote and final bill at this same location. We are seeking resolution of the warranty dispute and reimbursement of the disputed fee. I recommend documenting every quote, confirming exactly what is included in the total, and obtaining warranty terms in writing before doing business here.
