There are a lot of women with kids in my office. It seemed like a safe bet. Six years later, I have been thankful for those recommendations every time I've called the office. The desk staff is friendly (if usually slightly frazzled, but I think that might come with the territory when you work in a pediatric office this size). The nurses are nice to me, wonderful with my son, and always responsive when we have questions. We've never waited more than 15 minutes in the waiting area, even on an emergency appointment. The (thankfully) few times we've called after hours we've received a response quickly from the on-call doc. Though everyone we've seen in the practice has been great, I wouldn't trade our primary pediatrician Dr. Peter Cohn, for anything. He is gentle and kind with his patients and their parents, listens carefully, never talks over us, actually hears our concerns, answers our questions thoroughly and without talking down to us or over our heads (a skill many doctors seem to lack). Other than the fact that he's a Yankees fan in the heart of Red Sox territory, I'd clone him for our other doctor needs! During the winter, the office runs a daily walk-in clinic, but we've never had to try it.

I received the highest bill I have ever received for a routine visit - more than $530. My concerns were completely dismissed and I expect no change in the way they conduct business. Common courtesy and consideration does not exist here. Look out for yourselves.

I was very hesitant switching Drs. However, as soon as we had our first appointment with Dr. Monty, I was automatically put at ease. She is amazing. I'm very glad I was able to find her. I called them yesterday afternoon as my 2 month old has a cold. She felt warm, so I grabbed the only thermometer my mom had, the one you put to the forehead. It read a fever and glowed red. I never dealt with a sick 2 month old, so I'm freaking out. I brought her in yesterday at 3:30. Because of her age and low grade fever and difficulty breathing they sent us to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. We were there until about 9pm, getting home after 10pm. when i brought her back this morning, she was no longer concerned. Just have to wait it out. Long story short: I would recommend coming here. I tried making it thru the day but by 2 pm I could not do it anymore the fatigue was too much . So I called Michelle at dr Ross office and asked if she could squeeze me in and she said ok come at 3 pm .So I left work When I got there he checked my blood pressure did a ekg which was fine and took a blood test to see if they could find any other cause .I left thinking maybe I just had a flu or something .I went home and went straight to bed at 2 am my son came into my room and said dad it's dr Ross he told me that my blood test showed I was having the heart attack-and to not panic but call an ambulance .I told him I feel fine I just got a few hours sleep and I was ok I will have my wife drive me .He said listen to me young man I have done this before and stay put and call the ambulance .Thank god I did because when I got halfway to the hospital I had the heart attack ..the emts began working on me in the ambulance and they ran me into the operating room .I remeber thinking I can't believe I am gonna die In the back of an ambulance and I can't say goodbye to anyone .well obviously I survived .The doctor told me I could have died in my sleep that night ..I will be forever grateful for dr Ross and michelle for being so professional and saving my life .If your looking for a doctor who cares about people he's it !!

What used to feel like a reliable practice now feels like an intern training ground, where patient care clearly isn't the priority. At my most recent visit, I needed routine bloodwork done. What should have been a simple procedure turned into an awful experience. The staff member attempted to draw my blood three separate times and still couldn't do it properly. It was painful, stressful, and honestly unacceptable. I left feeling physically sore and completely frustrated. After nearly a decade of loyalty, being put through something like that without any sign of competence or accountability is beyond disappointing. Patients deserve experienced care, not to feel like practice subjects. I will seriously be reconsidering coming back.

Dr. Scharf is our well visit doctor but everyone in the practice has been great for sick visits. The nurse's line was also wonderful when my daughter took her first big fall off the couch. (She was fine but first time parent I wasn't sure what to look for if watching for a concussion.) The nurse even called me back a 1/2 hour after we spoke just to check on my daughter and be sure that there weren't any additional concerns. Super appreciated! I never have problems with the receptionists so they must have hired new people since those negative reviews. Their flu shot clinic is great too! Schedule an appointment in advance and in and out in minutes - with paperwork if you need proof for school or daycare. The one negative is I wish I could pay my bills online like I do with every other healthcare provider I have but their payment is check by mail or credit card over the phone.

I will miss this practice and thank them for their help getting my son's health off to a great start!
