She saw me through a very difficult pregnancy in 1990 with complications prior to and following the birth that caused me to get to know a good number of specialists that work out of the Stamford Hospital system. While in the hospital, I asked several doctors who they chose to use or whom their wives chose to use for their OBGYN care. Everyone I asked told me de Cholnoky including the then head of Surgery for Stamford Hospital. His comments said all. Here is what he said: "There are lots of doctors who can deliver babies and that's pretty norm for the course during the life of an OBGYN. The reason my wife see de Cholnoky is because I have seen her at the operating table. She's as cool as a cucumber in the event of an emergency. And that's what you really want. Someone who can react well when it's necessary and someone who can handle the more complicated issues during a pregnancy or any other malady in a women's health care. de Cholnoky skipped first grade at Greenwich Academy. She then went on to succeed with obtaining a degree from Harvard Medical School during an era when professors were walking into classes and addressing the class with "Good morning Gentlemen." It takes smarts and guts to be a breakthrough woman in any line of career. She's won my respect. I can't recommend her enough and have advised my daughter as a result, to also see her. I researched doctors in the area thoroughly and landed with her as my choice. I hope she'll do a good job for anyone choosing to see her as a result of this post. Good success with your healthcare choice.

Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a doctor, even if you've been referred to this doctor,…read morejust don't do it! You'll feel like me, uncared for. The front office staff is completely disrespectful, rude and disorganized. They don't know what you're there for and which appointment is which. I basically felt like I was a pushover and "just another number". The minute you walk into the place it feels like time stopped for them in 2007.. I think I even saw a magazine the from 2012.. that's beside the point. I am about 4 months and everything was going fine until I got a call from the office saying I missed an appointment early on that day. I immediately asked how is this possible, I only scheduled one appointment that was two weeks away. Grace who was on the phone continued to argue with me saying I definitely missed it so I continued to defend myself and say I never missed an appointment nor was I ever late. She said "you missed it and that's that". Knowing I am pregnant and obviously stressed and super uncomfortable and didn't care to diffuse the situation instead kept arguing. She finally said there's an opening tomorrow and I can come in. I agreed and hung up the phone in an even more stressed out state. But it was settled. A few minutes later I get a phone call from the nurse Shirley who by the way pretty much runs the place and often plays "doctor". She immediately says she doesn't like the way the phone call went with Grace at the front desk and wanted me to apologize if I wanted to continue going there . I quickly said no thanks and hung up. She then tried calling again and again until finally she left a nasty voicemail asking how I'd like my medical record sent. This was below the line !!! I started thinking about what just happened and was in total disbelief. Did they forget I am the patient? That I am pregnant and stress should be eliminated? So if I did miss an appointment and maybe forgot to write it down was that a reason to act the way they did? Terrible!!!! I am now in the middle of my term and have to start all over... that's stress !!! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Viscarello once, it took 2 hours to see him. Yes that's how long you have to wait to see a doctor, after months if going there. So my suggestion stays.... Keep away

From the front staff who was incredibly sweet and accommodating to my work days/hours to get me all the appointments I needed (the last 6 weeks of pregnancy I had to go 2X per week!), to the ultrasound techs who spent the time to ask the right questions and even take the time to get me some GREAT photos, to the nurses who made you feel so comfortable and took the time to get to know you personally, to Shirley and Dr V who I can't say enough wonderful things about... when I first met Dr V it was when I was pregnant with baby number 2 that ended in the miscarriage due to medical complications. Dr V saw me the very next day and spent the whole night doing research and reading up on situations like mine bc it was so rare. THAT is the kind of doctor he is. He came to my appointment PREPARED. Ready to help me, make me feel at ease, and give me his best treatment recommendation when no other doc knew how to proceed. With my pregnancy with Skylar (7 weeks ago), Shirley made the decision to deliver on the spot with the information from my appointment that day. Because she did, my daughter is alive today! Turned out that there was a knot in her Umbilical cord! Dr V had a flawless delivery and now he has some fun "knot" photos as a souvenir. ‍ #nothingbutthebest #lovethem

I was amazed at the immediate dates available 12/9 and 12/10. I picked the earliest date which was dec 9th at 11am. I recieved 4 text messages from them, 1 to pre-register and 2 to confirm my appt. Which I did and the 3rd was confirming my confirmation. I took off for this appt. I live in Norwalk and work in NYC. The day of my appt 12/9 at 9:09am I received a call from the office advising me they have to cancel/reschedule my appt due to over booking. The receptionist gave alternate dates of 12/10 and 12/11 after I advised her I just took off from work for this appt. She still insisted these were the days available between 9-11am With total disregard that I just told her I have a full time job which I took off for Today. I then asked for an afternoon appt so I would not miss work again. She said no Dr Meky is booked until March. I am not sure if the doctor is aware but her staff is very inconsiderate and clearly incompetent at managing her appts. Dr Meky was recommended to my by one of her patients who told me the staff did the same thing to her after she waited months for her appt. How can a successful doctor's office be so terrible at appointment management. Are patients records and needs handled the same way?

It's been over a week and we have yet to hear from her office regarding any clinical information despite numerous attempts to gain more clarity and information. Not only have I been scrambling to coordinate my Moms care, Dr Murray flat out refuses to return our calls despite the urgency of this situation. Her staff has informed us that she "does not speak to patients". Her cavalier attitude speaks volumes about her professionalism and character. This is clearly not a physician that cares about her patients. Save your time, and look elsewhere if you are seeking professional and compassionate care.

I explained that I am moving to fairfield and I need to establish new care since I am 15 weeks pregnant and I cant see my old provider due to distance - I was told that it doesn't matter and I need to find someone else. I am extremely upset by this experience, this is very poor customer service and patient care. It's unfair that if i was 6 weeks pregnant, I could be seen but since I'm 15 weeks, it is now not possible. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that they dont have one. *patient care is clearly not a priority to this practice*.
