It had been a few years since we had been back over here and neither of us can figure out why. Cage Brewing much like three daughters has a very large campus. They have tons of outdoor space and play areas for your kids and your pets. they also have a large outdoor seating area that is covered. Their indoor seating is what is actually limited. One of the reasons we ended up back over here was because one of the bartenders that one of the other breweries had said if you're looking for good food and beer, you need to go to cage out of all of the breweries that we spend a lot of time in in the Saint Pete and treasure Island area. Cage has the largest man selection by far. They offer everything from pizza to wings to items for your dogs to enjoy. I chose the Panini with meatballs and it was really good and I really liked the anti pasta salad that it went with it. My husband got the wings with the garlic Parmesan sauce on the side. He said they were good. He just would've liked a little bit more in the order. The beer is also really good here. My husband chose their standard core, the octopus. It is similar with an amber, but not quite to the depth of it, but has a really nice finish. I chose their peanut butter Porter, which is by far one of the best, and when it comes to the flavor of peanut butter. It is my absolute favorite. Parking I imagine can be a challenge as we only saw a street parking in the area unsure if there is a parking lot that they have privately. read more

We went to Cage to see live music and the Sarasota band Passerine did not disappoint! We ordered the green pizza and it was very tasty. The meatball pizza was fantastic. Street corn and salads rounded out the meal for our party of 6. The servers are so attentive and nice. They are not assigned locations or tables so any server can assist. Very nice area for children to play. Clean restrooms. We look forward to returning someday soon. Sadly I neglected to take food pics! read more

Hidden gem in plain sight! The beer is fantastic and that would seem plausible from the outside looking in. What you won't see from the outside is a great turf outdoor area for kids and families AND some of the best pizza St. Pete has to offer at Kraken Joe's wood fire pizza. The bartenders and cooks were both very kind and their bar dog, Pepper, really rounds out the staff as a whole. The pepperoni had a good crunch and the pizza was so crispy that you will be going back for more. Make sure to try the mango IPA- one of the most refreshing IPAs you will try. read more

They have really good pizza and good beer, not a huge selection, but it was good. Our bartenders were nice and helpful, the band was good and the ambiance was laid back albeit very hot, ac units inside definitely couldn't keep up, I'd sit outside next time. Dog friendly and lots of games, pool table and pinball so there's lots to do as well. read more

Great family friendly place! We went on last Sunday of the month for family day, kids have toys to play with and got free watermelon snow cones! The food is also delicious! Even the kids loved the broccoli pizza and Italian corn! Limited parking but was still easy to find. You order at the counter and seat yourself and food is brought out pretty fast to you. It's a great day to listen to some sweet tunes and drink a tasty beverage. We just happen to be in Saint Pete and fall upon this sweet retreat. Have come on in and have a delicious beer and listen to some good music. The vibe is really great. We stumbled upon this place and it's quickly became our favorite! They just started redoing their menu and service style. Everyone was so personable, so nice and patient. They even let me sample before I got the real drink! Food was delicious, we got the street corn and wings. They even had live music/dj and a huge outdoor area that was great for kids. Their sweet potato fries were a huge portion, perfect for sharing. They had a Grateful Dead Tribute band playing and it was a lot of fun. Wish this place was around when our kids were little. I would have been here every weekend! It's kid friendly and dog friendly - before bedtime for the kids of course. They have really thought of everything to make this one of the best breweries I've been to. The details and service, it's all just a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Non beer drinkers welcome too. After a Yelp event that left us hungry, I walked over with a few other Yelpers for beer and wings. Dude. The space was great, with a few tables inside with tv's to watch while relaxing. The three of us ordered drinks and wings. We lucked out as on Wednesday's wings were $1 each. Win! We took our beers outside to enjoy the great weather and wait for food. Outside was great. Tables everywhere with enough cover when it is needed. We were there at night time so we enjoyed the open space. The wings arrived which made it that much better. They were delicious and hit the spot as we all were needing sustenance. We were there for an hour and a half or so, spending most of the time talking about how great this place is. The toys were mostly for very young children (infants/toddlers) and a couple adult games. This is going to sound like a Karen but seriously just read and think about it. If you order the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce tossed and they come naked with sauce NBD. However we're I draw the line is that this is a service industry and if you order ranch with them (or blue cheese if your into that) it's general accepted common place that it comes with the dish (and if it weren't at least made clear). Cane here today while waiting for our Yelp event . Met Christian one of the owners and his dog Sargent Pepper. The whole atmosphere of the brewery and the staff made us feel like we were home . The beer selection was robust and truly had something for everyone. I settled on a coconut porter and the wife got a Belgium triple. Both were fantastic. The venue is large and had both a full scale music stage which I hear is hopping on the weekends. We happened to be here during their happy hour time and enjoyed $3 off per beer. Also Wednesdays are dollar wing night so we ordered a dozen. Half Italian Parmesan and half buffalo. Both were really tasty. Also Christian came around with some pizza from their wood fire pizza oven and that was also very tasty. The wife and I fell in love with this brewery and we will totally be back. read more

I was in down town st Pete for an event and I was looking for a place to spend some time before hand. I love an outdoor space and somewhere to watch tv. That's when I found Cage brewing! I loved the aesthetic of their business and the large outdoor space! There were classes going on in the large grass area when we got there and then there were dogs and kids running around! The selection of brews was pretty decent! I ended up getting the blue razz sour and it was pretty tasty for a sour! I also got a pizza and some wings. I would say the food was a little bit above average, but I loved the selection for food options! Not to mention the service was great and the food was made quick and served hot! Overall the restaurant and brewery were a great vibe and offered more than I imagined walking in! I'd love to come back! read more

I love their brewery logo, but I can't say that I loved the beer. I did have the bartender pick the one I was going to drink, based on the fact that I love IPAs, but it fell short in my opinion. The atmosphere is definitely bare, they had fans going all over and it was slightly hot in there. There's two bars you can sit at and also a large outdoor area, which is probably really nice when the weather doesn't suck. Not sure I would go back if I was in the area again, but maybe I just haven't had the right beer yet. read more

Disappointing Experience at Cage Brewery Unfortunately, our visit to Cage Brewery was a letdown, and we won't be returning. We included Cage as the last stop on our brewery hop because they offered food, but the experience was far from what we expected. Right from the start, we had issues with our card swiping on their system and the bartender seemed annoyed rather than helpful. The other bartender had to show her how to swipe the card quicker which seemed to fix the issue. The 4 of us ordered drinks and food, but despite asking multiple times, we waited over two hours for our meal. The staff even said to the head pizza grilled, "yea that order has been over 2 hrs". The staff seemed overwhelmed and offered no apology or communication about the delay. They just said we will get that going. We then watched them just start out food. When our food finally arrived, it was bland and not worth the wait. The wings were so small. The pizza was how we ordered. We didn't even bother to complain as at this point we wanted to eat. 4 friends reconnecting after 10yrs and all feeling hangry. Not a great time. The poor customer service only made things worse, with bartenders appearing annoyed when helping customers. We may have caught them on a bad day, but the lack of care and mediocre food made this an experience... we won't repeat. read more

#28 - Right across the street from PAW is Cage, making it super easy to pop in one after another. The owners of this brewery must have a thing for aliens as they are painted on the walls, making them a great conversation piece. Inside the brewery itself, it is very small with little room when ordering at the bar, but they do have seating around the corner inside and then there is a large covered outdoor space for you to relax and enjoy your beers. They always have a food truck parked outside that gets a lot of action from everyone at the brewery. Where does one go during a pandemic to drink beer, Cage Brewery. Big wide open outdoor seating both covered and uncovered with sanitized tables and picnic benches socially distanced/spaced apart. I originally came here for the food truck on the property that serves these killer hamburgers. They are the best. Then I had one of Cage's lagers and smiled. And hour later live music started to perform so we stayed longer. We tried a couple more beers - they have strawberry and blueberry beer! The assortment of many beers caters to all different tastes. They ask all to be responsible & wear a mask. The restrooms are very clean and new! Hand sanitizer is throughout the bar area. Staff wears masks and are super helpful when selecting your beer of choice. The last two times I was here they had Pop-up Opera. Professional singers from NY & Chicago performed, outstanding performance A list of their upcoming concerts & events are updated on their website & Facebook as well as their beer list. The brewery was started with an awesome IPA by local guys in the back of a restaurant that was enclosed by a cage, chain link fence; hence, their now name sake today!
