All slices of the "Rahmkuchen" (any day) are wonderful and just perfect in sweetness, creaminess and flavor. I've had a couple of other cakes and Torte, and they were fine but don't make me want to drop everything to have another slice.
It's not a place to have savory dish, although they offer them. Decoration of plates and tables is so-la-la, but generally pleasant enough.
The service is very cordial and nice, although they tend to forget about after you receive your food.
This seems to be a German thing though.
The place inside is mostly grey and somewhat a modern shabby chic. It's as I expected a café would look like, after their recent remodeling of the place, last year. The only minus is the chairs. The worst armrest-heavy chairs I've ever seen in a crammed café. They definitely were chosen to look pretty as opposed to be useful or even comfortable.
4 stars for the Rahmkuchen with Hefeteig. It's so good, I'm willing to somewhat forget about the chairs. read more
