The tables are shadow boxes with sand scenes. We ate in the beer garden ( this is Germany) most recently and they have a summer salad menu. Awesome. The menu is bilingual for those that are German Challenged. It is across the street from the last stop for the street car from Darmstadt so getting there is easy. The staff is friendly specifically Christoph with the red bun. The menu is extensive and features diner style food. It is really cheap and tastes delicious. I definitely love the homey atmosphere. Definitely will be back. Oh and they serve breakfast all day!

Service staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor is also very interesting, lots to see around you - like a mix of 50s diner and Art nouveau style decor. So this is a highly recommended place if you're ever in Darmstadt. Great food, atmosphere, and service :) 4/5 but I take out one star because the menu/Speisekarte was very difficult to read. It took us so long just to figure out what to eat. Perhaps that's just part of the "café chaos" theme? Otherwise, everything about this place is great!!!
